I thought he was horrible, but he seems warmer to the others. Being nice and smiling makes you feel better.

Saw a great cliop on itv2 show...Eric and Charley talking...
Charley 'funny what the jungle can do to you'
Eric 'yeah...I even find you attractive now '
Charley 'well you'd be punching way above your weight mate'

Lol...that's how I'd handle him, shame we don't see this on main show

He's a c*nt but we're not living with him, people should be voting based on who offers the most to the show...and he does. So for that reason, currently, he should win.

The evictees have also said he fetches the wood and water & makes sure they're topped up...we don't see that, naturally

Can't stand him. Arrogant, smug, cocky, rude.

You'll like my dad then as he has the same kind of sense of humour. He's 60 so he's from a similar generation to Eric.

My husband is from the same generation ,he is a gentleman and would never make a joke at the expense of another person .He knows that some things are best left unsaid and that kindness and manners go a long way .
Its not a generation thing , its an individual thing in Eric, he chooses to be that way .Soem may find it fine , some tolerate it for a bit of peace and others hate it .
I hate it .

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that everyone around that age is like that. Just that I've noticed that more sort of blunt sense of humour seems to be generally more popular with some of them. (which I've sort of noticed with comedians etc too) Of course people of any age could be like that and people of any age can be the opposite too.

It's just an observation that I've made and I'm most likely talking crap. Ignore me.

I found myself laughing at some of the Eric stuff over the last couple of nights. Together with the positive mentions he keeps getting from the leavers, its pretty clear ITV have shown us his worst side for entertainment value.

They can't show what he doesn't say, obviously, so I'm not saying it was an unfair edit or anything but I like the fact they have shown us that side of him because it would be all a bit loved-up in there if they hadn't!

People saying he has had a bad edit, I think in actual fact what's been perceived as "bad edit" probably kept him in longer than he would have otherwise been in there - people voting for the annoyance factor!

I liked Eric, I really did. He doesn't hold back and says what comes into his head as and when it surfaces but I don't like him any longer. After what I saw after the early morning coughing fit I went off him and went off him big time. I can never like people with disgusting habits, all I can ever see now, even when I think about the man, is how he disposed of his mouthful of phlegm.

There's absolutely no excuse for such behaviour and if I never see his face again it will be too soon. I said it on another thread and I'll say it again, filthy creature!

I'm on catchup as been away. I saw Rosemary upset at his joking digs, cos thats what it is.
I didn't like his meaness at first but now I see him as a typical comedian who makes fun of folks. If Rosemary was happy with her body she wouldn't take umbridge with him but obviously she's not, hence her coming in the jungle I would think. So she should agree with him silently.
I would say to Eric, as he was stood there topless, "I think we should club up and get you some bras". If he can dish it out then he will take it surely.

Exactly this. If you go into such a scenario you are going to get ribbed by someone, they are there purely for that purpose, so you have to know how to bite back and not be a wuss. It's like going in there simpering that your scared of the beasties - why in hell do it then? If you can't take ALL that will be thrown at you and give some back, you shouldn't even be in there, end of!

Interesting to hear Linda and Colins view on Eric, both decent people whom I'd believe to have sound judgement. Eric seems to be the guy who likes to be cheeky and mean publicly, but I suspect hes quietly being kind and supportive behind the scenes. Thats certainly the impression we're getting from those that have been living with him..they all seem quite bemused when presenters allude to the fact that hes the mean one in the camp. Colin mentioned today that he wouldn't have got through his final week had it not been for Erics support and said although he liked to be cheeky he was like that with everyone and hoped all his good bits had been shown. Unfortunately not, Colin.

I despise the role-model footballers for their vile spitting habits. There's no excuse for it, I've done sports myself but never ever have I felt the need to spit. It's the most disgusting habit and they should all receive a yellow card when they're spotted doing it, it's foul and it's being copied by young and impressionable people who think it's a cool thing to do when it most certainly isn't.

I think I may have got my message across there, I abhor spitting by anyone.
