DVD Player noisy

I have a Sanyo DC-TS750 home theatre system, which I've had for coming up for 3 years. In the past couple of months, it's become rather noisy.

I think it's the small fan at the back but before I go and open it up, does anybody have any idea if these fans are self-replaceable? And what size are they? 40mm?

My Sony DVD player has always had a loud "transport" system. At least it not as bad the PlayStation2 drive!

I understand the problem of cheap transport systems in such equipment is quite common, and there's nothing you can do to fix it. One of the HIFI mags had a report on this some months ago.

Thanks for the reply David. I've got a spare 40mm fan kicking about anyway so I'll install that and see if it makes any difference.
