An all in 1 Tablet

After some help here, looking for a budget Tablet for playing games, reading books and basic web browsing, obviously i can do this on my phone but i was hoping to get a 7'' tablet for streaming films to my TV.

I looked at the Kindle Fire, the price is great and i thought with the Amazon store behind it i was on to a winner then i find out it can not be connected to a TV and also cant access any google apps including youtube and maps etc.

So looked at the Nexus 7, looks great, all the apps are there, all the google stuff, price not to bad then i find out it cant be connected to the TV

So Galaxy Tab 2 7, price is good, apps are there i think it can be connected to a tv but cant actually find a definitive answer as to whether its only Samsung TV's it works with, also the layout seems quite confusing for children (who will be playing games on it)

Ok back to the Kindle Fire but now the HD version - yes it connects to the TV!!!! yes the price is ok, but still lacking the google apps

So any advice please, which Tablet will cover all the bases, please remember im working with a budget here so right now Apple are out, also app prices, are there any ones which would be cheaper long run, i have an I Phone and have to pay for almost everything where as my mate has an android phone and gets loads of the games free

The Blackberry Playbook can also stream HD to a TV. Apps support is more limited but you can get the most popular Android apps including Kindle loaded with a minimal amount of tweaking.

Looks like you are wanting your tablet to do everything for a "budget" price. Some thing has to give.

Get an Apple TV, it will allow you to stream movies from your Iphone over airplay to your tv, a tablet isnt ideal to read books from.

or if you have a DNLA enabled or 'smart TV' use one of many apps (try Skifta) to wirelessly stream from Nexus 7 to TV .......

Cables are so 'last year'

no need to buy into the Apple ecosystem at all .....

And tablets are fine for ebook reading in small doses.

It is a mind field. IPads cost a lot of money. Google nexus is good I have this. Galaxy won't play Google stuff. Basically unless you can build your own that has the best of them all whichever one you eventually get will have its downsides..

From what little bit I know, laptops/PCs do everything.... Tablets are the future and are lightweight but just don't perform quiet like a lap/notebook/pc

I thought I could do without a lappy/pc/notebook, but I can't.

Remember Amazon, Google,Apple wont us to buy their products and not use their rivals.
