Bloody mate has called his new baby Sebastian, after you know who!

Could it not have been Fernando?

If he was named Fernando, he would grow up a liar and cheat. If he had any siblings they would have to concede to him at every opportunity.

Meh,

I'm sure the constant references to Abba songs would drive him potty long before any of that could happen.

But, erm, "Sebastian"?
There's surely a strong chance of the poor kid growing up with an unnatural fondness for cravates and blazers with gold buttons and drinking Pimms?

Either that, or have a penchant for post-apocalyptic dictatorship.

Great work by Ferrari in FP1.

They kept Alonso's car in the garage for 40 minutes, gave it a polish, admired it's sleek and yet purposeful lines and it's gleaming paintwork, and let all the lesser cars clean up the track for them.

And then Alonso went out and the car burst it's gearbox, Alonso limped back to the pits, car got pulled to bits, session over.

I imagine Montezuma will be phoning for an explanation of why they didn't bother with an installation lap right at the start of the session.

Vettel comes first in P1 - Exciting!
Vettel comes first in P2 - Exciting!

And that's used up my sarcasm quota for the day.

You should probably try to stockpile some for Sunday.

This season's been so boring you can't be sarcastic on a Sunday because your will to live has just gone.

Have high hopes for Nico next year though.

You mean you hope he'll find a car he can fit into?

Wonder if Red Bull will let Webber have one final win as Vettel only needs to come 5th to win the title...

Not sure what RBR did with Webber was terribly smart.

I mean, it's okay to say that he'll be starting on the more durable tyre but, at the end of the day, he's still got to run the option tyre as well.

Drivers starting on the options will pit early, while the cars are all quite close together on track, and be able to chase them down quite quickly whereas those who start on the primes and pit later, once the field is more strung out, won't be able to catch and pass the field as quickly.

Don't like how they're allowing them to run all four tyres over the white line on their timed laps. Does this mean they're allowed to overtake off the track as well?

No problem as his big head is outside of the car and so doesn't need to fit.

Crash helmets may have to be custom made though.

Not that bothered if they run all 4 wheels off the track on the outside of an exit from a corner but I definitely saw Raikkonen run all 4 wheels across the apex of turn 9 which seems well dodgy to me.

Wouldn't be surprised if somebody protests that after seeing replays of it.

People are still watching this crap? I gave up many races ago. Someone please let me know when Vettell retires or some team, incredibly, manage to build a competitive car.

Or when Ferrari stops eating spaghetti long enough to actually take an interest in their jobs again.

No comments about Vettel interfering with the condtion of his car after quali? May lead to a redrafting of the rule about not touching the car.

Red Bull might, but Vettel's not known for being that courteous...

He's not terribly subtle either.

If Webber gets "gifted" a win, I can see it being cos Vettel slows down on the last straight in Brazil and I'm honestly not sure if Mark would accept that kind of charity.
