Merc' are in an interesting position here.
Chances are that they're going to romp the constructors championship and
one of their drivers is going to take the WDC so it's a great opportunity for Merc' to show everybody just how wonderful they are by allowing their drivers to race each other, even to the point where they might take each other out.
Frankly, safety issues aside, they probably don't really give a toss whether Rosberg and Hamilton wipe each other out half a dozen times this year. It's not going to make a difference to the result at the end of the season.
I suspect, in truth, they'll probably be a bit more circumspect and will enact some kind of policy whereby they allow the drivers to race until such time that there
is a collision and then, after that, the drivers will have to agree to follow team orders.
Course, Merc's real attitude will only become apparent next year, or the year after, when RBR, McLaren or Ferrari
can finally challenge the Merc', at which point I'm sure they'll have no hesitation in telling one driver to support the other if required.
