Rain always makes a race more exciting.

Maybe that sprinkler idea from Bernie was not to bad!

Rosberg's caution is really screwing things up for everybody behind him cos they're all in dirty air and they've all got DRS.

Vettel spun at the right time and Rosberg has brake issues. Luck for Hamilton.

Might be worth keeping Hamilton out if the rain is coming?

Blimey!

If Hamilton can do enough more laps on these tyres that he can pit for another set of options, rather than primes, he's really set for success here.

*EDIT*

Oh well. primes. Still, no huge loss, I suppose.

Hamilton being told not to hold up Rosberg 'cos he's got to stop again.

If I was Lewis I'd be taking a leaf out of Vettel's book and responding with "That's tough luck for him".

*EDIT*

Thing is, Merc' might know what their own race strategy is but they have no idea what Ferrari will do.
If Rosberg passes Hamilton and then they both end up stuck behind Alonso for a bunch of laps then it just takes away all those laps of opportunities for Lewis to pass Alonso.

Just as things were settling down it's all kicked off at Mercedes again. This could cost Mercedes the win.

Well, I can't see how Rosberg's current strategy might get him the win but if Hamilton has to let Rosberg through it's definitely going to send him further and further back from (or toward, after they pit) Alonso and Ricciardo.

Might be a little biased but I think it was an odd request to Hamilton when Rosberg couldn't close up

I agree! If Rosberg can't even catch Hamilton then Hamilton is not holding Rosberg back at all.

Hamilton doing okayish laps, catching Alonso, but DR is flying.

Hamilton looking in the mirrors instead of having a clear track ahead and behind probably held him up slightly as he had to be more defensive. A Mercedes should be more than adept to pick up a dropped second.

He had to pit again, hence Mercedes wanted Rosberg to get ahead of Hamilton. Had Hamilton let Rosberg through the latter would be clear of this battle. The team has lost out on points because of this.

You mean Rosberg's lost points.

If they'd done it the other way, Hamilton would have less of a chance of passing Alonso and Ricciardo would probably be in front of Lewis already.

Swings and roundabouts.

Looks like Rosberg will be with the leading 3 by the penultimate lap

Possibly but on the other hand not having to defend against Rosberg and running his own race may have given him a bit more pace as he could have driven naturally instead of defensively.

The only reason Hamilton didn't budge was for his own personal gain. Guess that's what was being spoken about before - nice guys off the track but selfish and single-minded on it.
