The bit of Hamilton's tyre stuck to Rosberg's car, seems a bit Karmic? I sincerely hope he doesn't finish the race, no way should he have attempted that move on Hamilton, he knew what he was doing

It just proves that Vettel isn't as good as people thought he was.

He is only a four time champ because he had a car that was a hundred times better than everyone else and that red bull treated Webber like shi*

Or even a three time champion then. Someone who was talked about as another Senna by some.

And now it seems like Rosberg is, yet again, going to be a complete pussy when it comes to passing any other car which isn't a Merc'.

Lol Rosberg's epic fail at trying a move at the bus stop on Vettel - huge lock-up. And then getting passed by Bottas.

I wonder why the Mercs have gone for more downforce on a track like this. Because they seem a bit...ordinary, and not for the first time, in dirty air.

I think the car still has the same basic characteristics that it's had historically, which causes them to adopt a philosophy of applying as much downforce as possible to prolong tyre life.
This year they probably figure that they have an engine powerful enough to offset the additional downforce.

Putting the prime on Rosberg is an odd choice too.
It's almost like they're trying to hobble Rosberg to give Hamilton the best opportunity to catch up or, at least, to punish Rosberg.

Everytime Hamilton complains on the radio, he does the fastest lap of the race. Just shut up man you're doing fine.

Except Hamilton's making no progress. I don't think he'll be scoring points, barring a safety car, but anything can happen.

And hearing that Hamilton basically wants to retire is really really disappointing.

When you're 40 seconds behind anybody in the points and 70-odd seconds behind the leader, and catching up by a second a lap with 22 laps to go, it doesn't really look good.

Only reason to retire would be to protect engine life.

Which is exactly what Hamilton was saying, he wants to save the engine and everything else. Even if there was a safety car or rain he would struggle to get more than a couple of points. I'd retire if I were Hamilton.

Seems to be passing other cars fine at the moment - you going to man up and retract or be a 'complete pussy'?

I'm surprised he's not moving up the order because it is a fast car. Just calling it quits rather than fight for position is very disappointing yeah.

Good effort by vettel to slow rosberg down to give riccardo a chance of winning

He's nowhere near the points. Absolutely nowhere. If it's 5 laps to go and he's still 16th, he should retire.

And Rosberg...well, if he doesn't win this race (given Ricciardo's consistency and pace), what an own goal that would be. For what is meant to be a power track, that would be a big cock-up.

But still, a lot of racing to be done.

Vettel is just an average driver. Shows it was the car that won the titles.

He doesn't seem to be putting a dent in Ricciardo's lead while, at the same time, Bottas has caught and passed the 4 times WDC in the other RBR.

I was nearly thinking that this would be the first race without a works Mercedes on the podium, but I guess there's going to be a little of status quo.

Hehe.

Rosberg pitting.

Another opportunity for him to show us how great he is at wheel to wheel racing.

Yes it was the car that just couldn't be caught.

If Hamilton ends up getting a grid-penalty in Brazil or Abu Dhabi as a result of an engine change, he's gonna be pissed.

I think all things considered in the team, Hamilton has been very fair and sensible this year. And I have been critical of him in the past.

I thought his recent refusal to move over for Rosberg on different strategies when the team were still looking at very good constructor points and Rosberg was his big drivers championship rival was emminently understandable.

Rosberg has had the err Monaco incident and now today's stupidity, calculated ( which I kind of doubt ) or otherwise.

Button around the outside of Alonso at Malmedy. Awesome driving!

Glad that Rosberg didn't win. The sneaky cheat.

Ricciardo is fast becoming another favourite of mine. What a driver. And putting Vettel firmly in the shade

What could this guy do in a Merc or even a Williams?
