Nothing to do with Nico announcing that he deliberately didn't yield?

I do think Hamilton was wrong to come out and announce "Nico said he done it on purpose" but, equally, Rosberg would have probably been better off admitting it was a clumsy move rather than trying to play mind-games by saying he was trying to be a hard-ass.

Vettel being told to ignore the audio signal for when to shift in order to maintain the gap to Alonso.

Another breach of the radio-rule?

Re. Hamilton and Rosberg - yes, post race I think both let personal agitation get the better of them. The same goes for Lauda and Wolff.

I don't understand the radio rule. From what we've heard most have been given driving advice in one way or another.

This is probably the dullest race of the year.

It's a fair old slog this.

Tend go agree, but it was never going to be black and white and all so straightforward as claimed by some ( one ? ) here.

OK, it hasn't helped Rosberg in the end, but what a demonstration of how they had to relax the radio rule re other matters.

Rosberg sitting on the pitwall beside the Mercedes chief strategist. I am sure he will be full of helpful advice

Why do they still pick up bits by hand? Haven't they heard of a leaf-blower? Or a modified leaf-blower that sucks?

If Alonso gets to the end on this set of primes while Hamilton has to stop again, after the SC, for primes, Merc' will really have dropped the ball on race strategy.

Geez, when the seven cars behind you are doing one thing and you're doing something different, you've got to wonder if you're doing the right thing.

Wahay!

Vettel still doesn't think he'll be able to get to the end on these primes. Hopefully it'll be the same for Alonso and the rest.

I think Merc' are being a bit unwise to be paying so much attention to the stopwatch rather than relying on Hamilton's ability to overtake.

It'll be a shock if Rosberg wins the WDC now.

Holy Moly. Another fascinating race in a fascinating season. The Championship for Lewis is definety very back on

Great driving from JEV, at the end, to take 6th place and build enough of a gap to retain it despite the 5 second penalty.
Are we sure Kimi knows what he's doing, sitting behind Bottas lap after lap, half-asleep?

Good calm strategy there by Mercedes. Ideally they wanted to come back out in the lead, but the most important thing was to have covered Alonso. Vettel was a bit of a sitting duck.

I'd make Lewis favourite, but today has shown how you can be at the mercy of technical gremlins.

Gotta say, I was a bit worried that Hamilon's tyres would die before he created a big enough gap and that a late pitstop would leave him with too few laps to re-take the lead.

All worked out in the end though.

Definitely seems that Lewis is a favourite with the crowds these days, too.

Yes. When you have the fastest car there'e no need to be different. Be conservative and just copy what your nearest rivals are doing.

There shouldn't have been any need for it but another great drive from Lewis. Hammer Time for 10 plus laps. I can't envisage Rosberg being able to do the same, nor the quick overtake on Vettel on the marbles..

Some really nasty attitudes on this forum. Revelling in mechanical issues... don't you think Hamilton can win it without assistance from so-called "karma"? What if it's his car next... is that "karma"?

Whilst revelling in mechanical issues is wrong I think people would like the title to be won on track and there to be fairly even distribution of mechanical failures between the two.

Lewis has won 7 races to Nico's 4 yet is only marginally ahead and most of that has been down to the relative number of mechancial issues they have sustatined in quali/races.

I'd also love the title to be decided by results that negate any impact of Bernie's double points debacle. Imagine a driver going into the final race 49 points ahead and then down to a mechanical issue they lose the title!

Probably enough pay back by Rosberg now and time to let proper racing start again. What do you think Mr Lauda and Mr Big Bad Wolff ?!

Oh wow. Get in Lewis. Hope he can just finish this race now and take the championship lead.

Did make me laugh when people were saying Rosberg was too far ahead for Lewis to catch up. Only takes one DNF and its all square again, oh wait..
