It is true though. And I'm guessing most people on here will agree. I've already found two people who seem to agree that your hatred of Hamilton is just boring.

Think you will find that's it more than 3, probably most of the forum is sick of the bile that you write

It's a forum for F1 lovers, not black Brits hating

Oh i totally agree with you that the title is in Hamiltons hands but for any driver they want to win the Monaco GP. He will get a chance next year though!

Obviously Lewis is gutted but he says himself that sorry is enough. The thing is he then acts to the contrary. So it's quite obvious he only wants to say the right things but doesn't really think them.

He would be more honest to say he is angery and dissapointed doesn't want to talk about it etc. But the whole time Lewis is think about his position in the team and trying to get an advantage over Nicco so he says he is fine with it all but he is not.

Yip Monaco is a special GP. Hamilton has an attachment to it because he did well there in GP2.

He shouldn't let it affect him so much. Especialy early in the year and without a close WDC fight. When it's at the end of a close year and when every point swing is a change of championship leader fair enough.

In a year where he will clearly still win 80% of GPs he should be quite happy to stack another podium.

I wouldn't be the biggest LH fan in the world, but you have to admit he was royally shafted today. It looked like he wanted to do a Senna and disappear back to his apartment, but he had to do the PR droid bit, I wonder how he feels now that he's locked into a contract for the next few years?

I am sure he is still quite happy to be staying at Mercedes. Think is Mercedes got it wrong it's a bit stange but It doesn't mean hamilton can't trust them. Teams get the strategy wrong all the time but it isn't down to trust issues.

If any thing was going to make Hamilton feel bad about being at Mercedes it would have been the Ferrari upgrades at spain being a big step forward but they were not.

I really feel bad for Jenson Button he must have done a great drive today but it has been missed on screen and now over shadowed by all this controversy.

Spot on. I didn't see the bit with the team photo, but that just reinforces the two sides of the Hamilton persona. He kept it all under wraps for as long as he could but was unable to act like the WDC that he is. He just let himself down badly .... again.

Agree with all this. It is a shame and he may look back at the end of his career and wish he had behaved rather better. You can't even say that he is too young to know better.

I haven;t read any other of the posts here and I;m not generally a Lewis Hamilton fan but:

What the hell wree Mercedes doing?!!! Did not need to stop under the safety car - Monaco is virtually impossible to overtake at so why did they bring him in? Imbecilic!

Any driver would have been justifiably upset after a result like today. Lewis is well within his rights to look down in the mouth.

I'll note that when Lewis has finished in front, Nico has looked less than happy. Where's the stunning criticism of his behaviour? You can see where I'm going with this, can't you?

Well personaly I remember saying it a waste of time Nicco going to the grand prix so I think that counts as criticism.

Actually my main criticism of Rosberg would be he often accepts defeat to easily.

On the whole rosberg is less petulant than Hamilton. I don't remember him ever trying to hide the car round the back of the circuit ramming the third place sign trying to get out of the car so slowly that the podium would have finished walking off between the prize giving and interviews then needing the whole mercedes senior management to apologise over and over again to him.

I've often wanted to be able to watch another contries F1 presentation. It would be interesting to see if everytime Rosberg dosen't win a GP that RTL spend the next hour in moarning and attacking Mercedes and completely ignore all over events in the GP due to their complete consternation.

Quite clear if the fortunes had been reversed today sky's reaction would have been oh dear what a pitty never mind lewis is the king of monaco

They would have been just as critical of Mercedes' stupidity. Of course a broadcaster transmitting to a British audience is more likely to favour the home nation. It was no different at the Olympics when team GB were winning medals.

I don't think Lewis was trying to hide the car round the back of the circuit as you say, he was just trying to get himself together after what had just happened.
As for Mercedes apologising to him over and over again so they should, it was their mistake and theirs alone.
Did you see Nicky Lauda and did you hear what he said?
As my husband said to me Germans are ruthless.

They told this story about Senna crashing from the lead walking off to his flat and not coming back out. The problem is today F1 drivers don't actually have the strength of character to do that sort of thing. More so the one interested in building a brand know its not in their financial interest to do so.

The result is they turn up to the media obligations and podium ceremonies although they don't want to be there. The only recourse they have is to act in a silly manner or make the smallest gesture such as no being in a photo graph.

it is a bit of a symptom of the modern manufactured F1 driver with the personality removed at the point of installation.

It isn't a strength of character issue. I have no doubt that Lewis Hamilton would have quite happily gone back to his flat today for some time by himself but he has contractual obligations to do the 'PR' stuff.

It's a funny sight seeing a top three car chased round by a couple of people carriers, never seen that before.

As for it being the fault of Mercedes and them alone in the press conference Lewis appears to say it was him wanted new tyres thinking rosberg had pitted already and his worn tyres would get cold.

Also as others have said Lewis should have taken charge of it and said he wasn't pitting. I rember when the drivers used to do that. Back in the refuling days they would be shouting on the radio pit this time or we run out of fuel.

Yip I am sure Senna was supposed to do that to. Hamilton would not be sacked for not doing an interview.

The guys from the past once they weren't going to do something they just wouldn't do it end of.

They would have been saying what did they do that for true enough but at the same time loving the fact that they had done it.

Possible not gone as far as calling it criminal as they did today.

Really? Where have you been the last couple of months? Did you miss the "Lewis is driving to slowly" escapade? And the PC afterwards? That was beyond petulance - but again, you tried to pass it off as being Hamilton's fault.

I can tell you that RTL are VERY pro-Germany. They were pretty much laughing at Hamilton's misfortune this afternoon. The whole race, they were constantly updating us with Rosberg's chances of winning - "If Lewis messes up now, we can get a German 1-2!" is the sort of thing that I've heard quite a bit of during the race.

Even my wife, who is German, is sick of RTL's bias.

Don't you ever read back what you type, on many occasions your diction does not make sense.
We are never going to agree about this.
At least Stoke City beat Liverpool 6-1 today and that did help to accept Lewis's loss.
You never answered my question about Nicki Lauda did you.
Are you going to answer it, good if you could please.

I had a crap WWF1 "gag" until someone told me the wrestling people no longer use "WWF".

Anyway, F1 credibility is sinking to that of the American racing championships, that call out a safety car if they spot a bit of "debris" on the racing line and it just happens there is no action on the track.

I heard some of what Lauda said not sure if I heard everything or what you are reffering to so if you could be more specific it would help.

What I would be really interested in hearing is Mercedes team radio when Lewis got called in. Did they just say pit this lap did lewis ask why did mercedes give the big cold tyre explaination was hamilton concerned about his tyres. It's one of these bits of team radio that is a bit curious in it being missing. It must tell a story and if we get to hear the I just lost the race and don't talk to me in the courners then lets hear the simple pit call in.

Everbodies got to be happy when liverpool loose right?
