Shame for Rosberg he made the best job of racing in the tricky conditions and then the weather ruined it for him.

Not really, he was following so could watch how Hamilton was coping and therefore push harder with less risk of a skid, he had detailed advance knowledge of the changing track conditions. In the reverse situation, Hamilton would have been able to do the same.

So the race was yet again decided in the pits. Maybe one day it'll actually be decided on the track once again.

So Lewis Hamilton wins... Shame he doesn't pay any tax to help the nation which got him to where he is.

Why is Frankie dettori doing the podium interviews. Couldn't they get Damon hill, Nigel mansell or Jackie Stewart

Like anybody who has the opertunity would not limit their tax liability within the law, only a fool would still pay

I have a problem with racing drivers enjoying British support and then moving to Monaco because they don't like British tax laws. They should have played the Monaco national anthem when he won.

Great track for driving but my god it's terrible for overtaking in the dry. Glad the rain caused a bit of excitement, good to see Lewis holding it together, was afraid the tide was turning away from him after Austria.

If he wants to do that, then fair enough, he is entitled to do that, but he shouldn't be saying he loves "winning on home soil" when he lives in Monaco. He should either move back to the UK and race for Britain, or stay in Monaco for tax reasons and race for Monaco.

He shouldn't be able to have his cake and eat it.

He's presumably paid more tax into this country than you and your family will ever do.

Agreed, but only because our national anthem is shit.

Well Done Hammy, a well deserved win.

On this basis, no-one would give to charity, or have any sense of social responsibility. Sad.

Anyway, good win for Hamilton on the whole.

Charity and paying money to the Goverment are totally different, it's ridiculous to even compare the two.

I would rather pay my 40% tax liability straight over to many charities

Wrong. Weather conditions were very favourable for him. If it had stayed dry he would most probably have finished 4th.

Please don't try to prejudge my or my family's tax arrangements.

Regardless, it's all relative. The tax I pay is relative to what I earn. I'm happy to pay what the government dictates is the fair tax for me to pay on my earnings. Lewis Hamilton isn't, and therefore doesn't contribute to the British society (and therefore the British people) that he claims to love.

And neither does Button or previously Caulthard, cannot remember you coming on here to the same about them regardless of your join date

The classic DS response- when you haven't got a good argument, turn to juvenile memes!

He will pay tax in the UK on his earnings whilst driving in the British Grand Prix, just as tennis players will pay UK tax on their earnings from Wimbledon.

Indeed. That is the main problem I have with the sport, despite F1 being good for the balance of payments.
