Kimi confirmed to be staying at Ferrari for 2016. Seems they want to wait for Bottas' current contract at Williams to run out rather than buy him out. Seems very sensible to me. I suspect that means we're in for a very quiet driver market this year. There may not be any changes at all, in fact.

Maldanado crashed and briefly stopped FP1 (As if he's not done that before)

While it does seem that 'Crashtor' is quite the accident prone driver, from the replay I thought that spin could happen to anyone.

Got a feeling Nico will mug Lewis at the start.

Williams have been awful tactically this season with so many errors costing them points. Why load on the downforce on a straight track?

Betting on rain?

Their cars are pretty poor in rain anyway; not sure whether the extra downforce would make much difference. Maybe slightly. Is any forecast?

And what the heck happened with Bottas' tyres? They're coming across as increasingly incompetent.

Clouds starting to darken. Rain might come after all

Dangerous game to play with Vettel, especially arter Rosberg's blow out on Friday.

Even as a F1 fan, that was a pretty lifeless and boring race.

1 stop strategy probably wasn't wise for ferarri oops. Lewis wins again though

Vettel again showing why he's disliked by so many.

He runs the tyre far longer than recommended, and then it's the tyre manufacturer's fault when it fails.

*beep* moron!

Rather than criticising Pirelli and Ferrari strategists for the tyre failure on Vettels car and the earlier one on Rosberg should not the top brass of the FIA and the race stewards examine why they allowed drivers to use corner rumble strips and 'exceed track limits' throughout the race at Eau Rouge and Radion.

The forces put through the tyres by allowing this are visibly severe and must subject the tyres to tread and internal stresses.

They had warning of this at Silverstone a few years back and again on Friday with the Rosberg blow-out.

Do we have to wait before another 'freak accident which could not be forseen' claims the life of a driver?

I'm no vettel fan but he did question his engineer 20 laps from the finish as to why they were not pitting him

Any Criticism by him should be directed at his team

Fair enough, but like you say... he should have directed his criticism at the team. He was just spitting his dummy straight at Pirelli. They gambled as a team, they lost as a team, you can't gamble and then blame someone else. The failure Rosberg experienced was in completely different circumstances, but he seemed keen to bundle both into a tyre issue.

Obviously not as boring as all the other things you could have been giving your attention to instead.

didnt see the race so just watching the highlights. I dont think ive ever seen a team put two different types of tyre on at a pit stop. Pretty amateurish mistake.

Aye, that was a bit nuts, even more so when you see it played back and there's another mechanic looking confused when his offering isn't required.

Yes another dull and boring race and it is all to predictable it was going to be like that. There was good weather today and so I went out and made the most of it. Glad I did it's just not worth the time to watch it live for racing like this. Only watched it while making dinner.

There was a fait bit of action, but the result was pretty much assured. I struggled to keep on watching the race - I even found myself wondering if I should watch the race at all, and I'm a fan of Hamilton!
