It seems a little unfair to suggest that everybody involved in F1 is equally untrustworthy.
I'm sure that most of them will be evasive at times but not everybody has lied about things in the same way that people like Ron Dennis and Flavio Briatore have in the past.”

F1 is an utter contradiction in so many ways. The media likes to portray the 'paddock' like it's some sort of club where everyone is playing together nicely and pull together when things go wrong, and certainly on occasion it is like that but equally everyone is ready to stab anyone else in the back at a moments notice. The sport is motivated totally by self interest. No-one has the slightest interest in doing anything for the good of the sport if it has the slightest detrimental effect on themselves. The culture of the sport is bend the rules to breaking point and if you think you've got a good chance of getting away with it, go well beyond that. I'm not sure there's another sport where the basic principals of sportsmanship are so thoroughly ignored. Doesn't mean I don't love it.
