hmmmmm... I know Red Bull have a bit of form for dodgy fueling but how convenient that Mark's car should have an issue the first race after all the recent bullcarp...

Top Marks to Louis and Kimi though!

Come on Lewis!

Interesting to see Massa sizing up Alonso there. Great start for the Ferraris but Lewis looks to be ok at the moment which is good. We could do with a replay of the Force India collision.

I jynxed that one

Now, will the Ferraris fight for the lead. Mercedes are really struggling.

You did, for Force India and Lewis! LOL

Good grief loose wheel on track

Kimi's not happy, I assume Perez will get a penalty (though I don't think Rosberg did in Bahrain, this one caused contact). Webber is out, I assume the wheel coming off was due to the pitstop? Shame Sauber made an error on Nico's pitstop, he has been fantastic so far today.

So, the Torro Rosso fails to take out Webber properly and the team are forced to leave a wheel-nut loose to finish the job?

Poor Webber! What a terrible weekend. Let the RB conspiracy theories begin!

God Button has no fight in him at all - has there ever been a more boring driver than Jenson in Formula 1?

You can just tell Mclaren looked at Lewis behind Jenson and went, 'yeah, fight him.'

Merc' seem to be playing their joker here.

They've got a reputation for being harder on tyres and so they seem to be deliberately going for the 2 stop strategy here rather than going for it and doing 3 stops.

Hamilton currently 9 seconds behind the leaders so it could work for him IF he does 2 stops.

*EDIT*
Tracker was saying LH had done one stop. Now saying he's made 2. Shurely shome mishtake?

You do know it has a lot to do with the cars as well as the driver, right? The McLaren doesn't have the pace, and frankly no car seems capable of fighting off DRS except one in front of a Red Bull!

Hamilton has made 2 stops already, I don't think he'll make it to the end of the race on this set.

Yeah. dunno what happened there.
Don't recall Hamilton stopping twice, has he?
He stopped after a handful of laps to go from options to primes and I don't recall him stopping for another set of primes since.

Yes he did Si, he came in the second time with another car directly behind him I'm sure

Edit

I'm questioning myself know but do remember him going in twice

Wasn't the car in front of him but his stop was faster?

He stopped on about lap 22/3 as well, Button's engineer said Lewis' tyres were a couple of laps older.

Massa couldn't believe his luck there, Hulkenberg has had no luck today.

Kimi out in front of Hamilton, I assume Mercedes are hoping his tyres wont make it.

No as I remember thinking that the pit timings were virtually similar and the other car stayed behind. I hope I have that right and it was not the first pit stop

Yeah, just looking back through the text commentary from the F1.com site.

I didn't even notice Rosberg had retired either.
All must have happened while I was on a "comfort break".

A lot of penalties coming here i reckon, surely it's cut and dry if you've used it.?

Don't think so, Vettel got past Hulkenberg like that.

Why not just say 'we are investigating pretty much the entire field.'

Just goes to show that even the more "interesting" events in an F1 race can be yawn-making. Compare with the scillintating MotoGP racing across all three races last weekend.

It only takes one 'comfort break' to miss so much. I'm going to take myself to the back door seeing as it's getting closer to the finish and hope I don't miss too much

Do your pit stop Vettel
