Yes, Louis looks so relaxed in spite of everything going wrong with his car me thinks Mercedes have decided it is little Rosberg's turn and Hamilton has been told to keep stoom! Call me a sceptic but with at age I ask the question 2 engines from the same stable, same gearboxes, same software, same tires etc - why? It is so obvious to me.

Why? Because they are such complex things that even though they are the same, anything can go wrong. Hate people that come up with theories like this.

Although Mercedes have finished all the grand prix there have been signs of gremlins. Rosberg had a power loss in practice and after Melbourne Mercedes said they came close to retiring him.

It was the collision with the Sauber that really damaged Hamiltons GP. Now the points gap is over 25 points it is going to give hamilton more pause for though but it is still a long season to go.

Sorry you hate my theory but hey, we are a democratic country and everyone is entitled to his or her theory. It might be proved that you are right and I am wrong, so hang in there and we will see at the end of the season.

But Rosberg winning wouldn't prove your theory anyway.

Mercedes are Lucky that their engine is so much better than anyone else as their aero package is not great and neither is their strategy. The last two races they costs themselves points by getting the strategy wrong for Hamilton.

More important though is that the car struggles having to race behind other cars for very long and as a results the tyres get destroyed. Maybe the fact that Hamilton has been hit in all 3 races and taken damage as effected his ability to move through the field but the aero issue was their last year aswell and looks like it has got worse.

The Mercedes is so dependent on clear air to perform will the Ferrari and Red Bull are far better going through the pack.

Now that we have 3 tyre compounds I propose the following simple qualifying format.

Stay with the 2015 qualifying format but:
Q1, all cars to run the 'hard' tyre.
Q2, all remaining cars to run the 'medium' tyre.
Q3, all remaining cars to run on the 'soft' tyre.
No dropping out of sessions to save tyres for the race.
All cars may use any compound to start the race.
As a result of this the cars that drop out of Q1 and Q2 would have more new medium and soft tyres for the race than the faster cars which could result in a more exciting race. At least for quite a few laps at the start.

Pro's? Con's?

I loved it when Vettel confronted Kvyat about what he did and Kvyat just strugged it off like it was nothing which made Vettel even more angry with him and i thought he was going to hit him when Kvyat was smiling at him

You must have watched something else, it was a difference of opinion, nothing more...media and people like you blowing it up into something it really wasn't.

If you leave out Rosberg who disappeared into the distance it was quite an action packed race. Hamilton will need wins and Rosberg to have some of the luck he's been having to claim his 4th title.

He looks anything but relaxed. I highly doubt the team have said its Rosbergs turn, its not the way things are done and Lewis would have none of it.

I think anyone making positive remarks must have watched it live on Sky, Ch 4's highlights weren't great, couldn't follow it very well, got lost with the pit stops, editing could have been better. I see the next one is also highlights.

Guilty as charged. Not sure if he was talking the mick out of CH4 and their viewers but during the race Martin Brundle did say that if he was making the highlights package he would know what parts to miss out and it's only half distance.

So perhapes it's harder to edit down the Highlights if a lot happens in the GP as you have to take out parts which tell the story.

Yeah I heard that comment, but I think it was a generic comment, and not aimed at CH4 as Sky also show their races as highlights packages so I guess they would also have the same problem, but might have a bit more scope for the length of the highlights.

Yeah not sure he meant it but it did sound a bit like glad I'm not watching the highlights ghawfore.

Sky show many re runs of the race and theres the option to PVR one of them so the only sky customers who would watch highlights are ones who really wanted to over the full GP. Perhapes though sky have been seeing figures suggesting people do this and are trying to combate it.

Some fast cars down the grid again. Makings for another good race?

Ferrari are nowhere in terms of pace at the front and still plagued by reliability issues, Vettel penalty, and Hamilton likely facing another penalty gifting Rosberg yet another easy win.

I'm not sure I can be bothered with the midfield battles. I'm sure it'll be entertaining enough with drivers out of position, but overall this is shaping up to be another terrible season for my money. I'm about ready to tune out of it.

Just a reprimand for car 44 not following race stewards instructions.

So anybody in the GP can just go through there in the race and skip the bollard. Nothing will happen.

I was already wondering if someone somewhere had decided Rosberg is to win it.

They seem to be overdoing it.

It's his second reprimand of the season. One more and he gets a 10 place grid penalty. Seems fair enough.

I meant the fixes they'll need to do to his car this morning will trigger another penalty.

Nothing from merc regarding that wouldn't they have to change the gearbox? Don't think he entered park ferme as did not complete qualifying and so they wouldn't get a penalty for changing a power unit element as not a sixth element.

Bit complicated with the rules these days.
