Nothing from merc regarding that wouldn't they have to change the gearbox? Don't think he entered park ferme as did not complete qualifying and so they wouldn't get a penalty for changing a power unit element as not a sixth element.

Bit complicated with the rules these days.
Yeah definitely complicated, Lewis himself thought he would be getting a penalty. Merc couldn't confirm either way; I guess we'll know for sure in the next couple of hours if you are paying attention.

I was already wondering if someone somewhere had decided Rosberg is to win it.

They seem to be overdoing it.
I agree, it is so obvious Mercedes must think that spectators are totally thick! Like one previous poster - it is no longer worth watching.

That's some start - Vettel rammed not once but twice for no reason; he's unsurprisingly unhappy.

This is working out very well for Hamilton - already up to fourth.

Vettel out on the first lap after Danny Kvyat got him again

Worth listening to the audio of Vettel as he's hit

He made Catherine Tate's Nan sound demure in comparison. I wonder how long until they get an interview with him?

The 2nd one looked like he targeted him

Both moves were pretty poor really.

Hamilton's dropping back from Bottas - might just be buying himself some space.

Here's the Vettel interview...

EDIT: I think Ferrari must have plied him with Valium prior to placing him in front of the cameras.

Sky trying to create a feud when one clearly doesn't exist. Pathetic.

Far too easy for Hamilton there.

Williams throw it away again. They're just not with it tactically or with the car itself.

Water pressure issue for Hamilton. Though it doesn't seem to be affecting him for the moment. Currently second, about 7 seconds behind Rosberg as they go through traffic.

Hamilton now dropping away from Rosberg - gap back to eleven seconds - but is keeping pace with third place Raikkonen.

Luck is not on his side at the moment.

Hmm just as Rosberg has a big enough lead in the race, Hammy's car problems end.

Stabilised rather than end. They've managed to get it under control.

Yeah boring race by all accounts and Hamilton is basically guaranteed to be taking grid penalties later in the season because he's gonna exhaust the limit on what he has left. Rosberg deserves a title anyway he's been with the team for so long and through so much. It's iust ashame its gonna be gifted to him. On current form, he'd be a match for Hsmilton anyway.

Thought the race was quite eventful and exciting again. Surprised so many people are down on it.

Did anyone else wonder why Vettel swore in English?

It all seems to be going extremely well for Rosberg, hmmm.

Nice to meet someone who thinks along the same lines as myself. Read the Woolf interview on Google News. Amazing, Mercedes shows German engineering at it's worst - 2 formula 1 engines and they can fix 1 OK but cannot fix the 2nd one, hmmmm..... still if I won a race by default would it prove that I was a better driver? NO.

The gremlins do seem to have it in for Hamilton and he needs them to switch to Rosberg's car pronto. Not an especially exciting race apart from the start and Kvyat shunting Vettel not once but twice, the first one looked his fault, the second one not so much.

Didn't Hamilton and Rosberg switch mechanics? Maybe I am wrong but thought I read that somewhere.

Could explain why Hamilton is not having a great season as Rosberg had quite a few issues last season.

Pretty much already over now in terms of the championship. Like a poster said higher up the page, Hamilton will more than likely incur more penalities near the end of the season and Rosberg also seems on top of his game.

Hamilton also took his eye of game after he won the title last season

Don't think you guys should all worry Lewis says nothing bad is happening at Merc and he is feeling all your support.

http://www.foxsports.com/other/story...nd-prix-050216

Regarding the conspiracy theorists he said: "Firstly the people that might be saying that are feeling whatever pain that I am feeling. That's the thing, we win and we lose together. They're feeling the hurt and emotions that you go through because we're connected in that way, that's a beautiful thing. *

"Naturally in any sport or any situation the easiest thing is to jump to the negative. I just want to assure them as I said before my guys are doing a fantastic job, and it's not their fault."
The championship is far from over. They come way with all these stats on the TV about what happened in the past but those guys forget this is a 21 race season. Seventeen races left is 425 points on offer.

There is plenty of time for hamilton to grind away some of the gap and then a Rosberg DNF will swing it right round.

In all the races Rosberg has not beaten Hamilton by just outpacing him. Rosberg is proper analytical he will know this. Right now he is enjoying the winning and it validates his style of racing but I doubt he thinks I've got this.

Bad luck will hit Rosberg soon, and it will even again. Long way to go..

Thank you for posting the link and you are absolutely right there are 17 races left and bad luck will fall on Rosberg too. You guys are so philosophical.
