Irritates me no end the way Suzi Wolff talks on ch4 as though she's a fully fledged F1 race driver instead of the occasional test driver who despite having years in situ at Williams (thanks to her at the time shareholding husband Toto) was never good enough to start a single race, even when one of their drivers was injured.

Ch4 pander to it as well. By all means have her on there but please stop her acting and talking as if she is a peer to any of these drivers competing, which she does every single time she opens her mouth at the moment.

You get the same problem on sky with davidson.

Because god forbid that two experienced race drivers talk about something they know about. I think the problem, isn't so much that they don't know what they're talking about (here's a hint; they do) but the dislike of the driver in question.

As mediocre Ant and Suzi were in their racer careers, they still have a lot of experience with the ins and outs of driving a F1 car, and what F1 drivers go through. That's why they're hired as colour commentators. Their lack of competitive F1 experience is not really that big an issue.

Does anyone actually think Max is gonna be future world champion or is he overhyped?

Rule number one - do not take out your team mate.

Oops.

Yeah, it's never Hamilton's fault is it???

Nico has to take some of the blame for that. He was far too aggressive in defending his position.

What on earth was Hamilton doing ?

That's one way to stop Rosberg's winning run....

Both were far too aggressive in that position. It's not completely Hamilton's fault but it's not completely Rosberg's fault either.

If I was a steward I would say unfortunate racing incident.

Hey its Nicos winning season and any one who dares to drive faster or over take him will be taken out. No questions asked.

Especially if that person is coming from a long way back.

Niki Lauda blaming Hamilton for it; bear in mind he blamed Rosberg the last time they collided.

EDIT: Brundle saying he should 'soak it up' and basically accept the two coming together as they're both world class racers - I can't remember him saying that when the two collided before...

They were both equally to blame.

Rosberg will be disappointed that he couldn't continue though. Only Lewis shows any threat this year to his title hopes so this is only one less race to worry about and no damage done except to their working relationship. Lauda has to be the king of diplomats to make them both keep their cool.

Brundle seems desperate to blame Rosberg; Lauda wants to blame Hamilton. Says it all really.

Didn't we have all these conversations about the team being split up when Rosberg and Hamilton collided before? Or when Vettel and Webber collided in Turkey(?) In both situations the partnerships continued.

Lewis tried to avoid contact but span and once that happens all bets are off as you have no control.

my dad love F1, as does my husband and I find myself watching with him. Him being Spanish this is the big one for him on home turf. That crash was amazing! Sad to see Alonso out, hubby now cooking the lunch 😆

Congrats to the very first Dutch F1 winner.
I wonder how many Back Pages of the papers Max will make tomorrow with this victory... Normally it takes a Briton to win. DC reckons he'll be on all of them!
