I can't stand Rosberg , that was completely his own fault , it looked to me like he wanted to crash into Hamilton , either to take Hamilton out or both imo

Rosberg appeared to adopt the Michael Schumacher approach to stopping an inevitable overtake from a championship rival.

Toto defends Rosberg and immediately raises the brake problem as the excuse. But next breath he's ranting and raving like lunatic about looking like a bunch of idiots and letting down the rest of the 1,500 Mercedes employees. How are they looking like a bunch of idiots if poor Nico had a brake problem that prevented him for steering around a corner to prevent a collision? It appears to me there's one big idiot on TV arguing with himself.

Nico knew he had a brake problem so should have backed off because he wasn't gonna stop in time. The replay is very bad for nico because it clearly shows he didn't even attempt to turn. He tried to run Lewis off the track. I expect a penalty for nico.

Apparently Rosberg can't believe that Hamilton turned to the right....while negotiating a right hand corner. I think everybody is more than a wee bit flabbergasted that Nico thinks it's NOT ok to turn to the right while going through a right hand corner.

It looks like nico basically tried to take both of them out which would keep his points gap and it failed. Sounds crazy but the footage doesn't lie. Obviously the excuse of brake failure is already out there. I'm not sure the stewards will accept his excuses. I too was amazed that he blamed Lewis.

The brake failure thing sounds like a swizz. This incident has shown that Nico gets preferential treatment, at least externally, from Mercedes. They need to realise that Hamilton is their most talented and premiere driver or Hamilton wouldn't be blamed for looking elsewhere for a new car as soon as their standing is in jeopardy.

Just watched Nico's interview again. He says himself he went in too deep and yet is surprised when Lewis turns in. Lewis can't even see nico so gives him plenty of room. He wasn't to know nico would do what he did. Very disappointed that nico didn't take responsibility for his actions and he's not putting himself in a good light.

I don't believe the brake failure argument either - and neither will the stewards. The team are trying to be clever here because it's not always clear if a rear brake failure occurs or how it shows up in the sensor logs.

It's damage limitation trying to get Rosberg out of a severe penalty. But given how long the stewards are taking to debate this, it's not looking good.

I'm don't think that Rosberg tried to take Hamilton out - I think he simply tried to hang Lewis out to dry, but forgot this only really works when the car on the outside has a) committed to being closer to the apex and b) is a good half a car width behind (and not infront)

Either Rosberg was being nasty or he ran out of talent. Either argument makes him look pretty bad. A bad thing when he's yet to secure a drive for next year.

Be interesting to hear what Keke has to say

It is up to the stewards to confirm or deny an infringement. Do not watch F1 anymore, there is limited driving, the rest is computers and the "driver" watching a dashboard. As a former driver and manager, may I quote Senna "back to karting."

10s penalty for Rosberg didn't affect his finishing position.

Can't believe he only got 10s penalty. He disagrees with the decision. I think he's the only one who thinks that. Even Lewis's biggest critics can't blame Lewis for this.

Who knows when we reach end of the season the penalty might be greater if Hamilton retains world title

Heres hoping. If rosberg isn't careful he could lose his seat to max.

With all what was going on at Mercedes i have to say well done to the Manor team and Weirlin for getting one point, lets hope they can build on it

Weirlin was very lucky not to get a penalty for reversing on the starting grid. He did well though in the race and well done to button also.

Quite deliberate by Rosberg. He wasn't locked up or understeering. Rosberg's onboard shows he made zero attempt to get anywhere near the apex. Obviously intended to take Lewis out

Most probably, it's the only way Rosberg can get a win, because he can't do it by actually racing, he is very much the second driver when it actually comes to driving, even though it's very obvious the team want him to be the first driver.

Got of very lightly with the token punishment from the stewards too.

The crash is good for F1. Gets people interested in the rivalry between Hamilton and Rosberg. If every race had no collisions F1 would lose viewers, I reckon, I'm sure Bernie 'I wouldn't pay to watch F1' Ecclestone is loving the controversy.

Controversy is also what Channel 4 want otherwise the woman who interviewed Rosberg wouldn't have tried to get a reaction out of him by saying Lewis blamed him even though Rosberg wouldn't have needed telling because he knew it was his fault since he caused the incident.

Rosberg was lucky to get away with a penalty that cost him absolutely nothing.

Unbelievable

He continues to try to put the blame on Hamilton too, even after the stewards decision. Not a nice man, a liar and a cheat.
No wonder Hamilton gets frustrated, fighting for the championship against his'team mate', and his 'team'.
