Isn't that like a child who takes a letter to their schoolteacher from their parents saying they object to their child being given detention

Although not sure how he is like Tiger Woods.”

Whenever he doesnt get his way tigers lip comes out and baby Hamilton is the same, he sulks like a 5 year old when he doesnt get his way.

When it shows leader, the subsequent times for each driver are in relation to the leader. So it shows the cumulative difference. With interval, it is the gaps between the drivers relative to each other.

It looked to me that he turned late on purpose making Verstappen go off the track.

That pit stop was weird as to why they waited 8 seconds instead of a 5 penalty before changing the tyres

Thanks for that, it makes sense now , you've cleared it up for me now

Lewis does it again! Nico needs to hope for more technical gremlins, only way I can see him beating Hamilton now

Hamilton still going to have to take multiple grid penalties in the second half of the season so there are going to be a few swings yet.

Youll often find a similar attitude amongst most winners in various sports.

Oh, well... if Andrew Benson has said so...

Rosberg scored an own goal there & any doubts about the time before have now been put to bed.
I hear he has been offered a drive in Touring Cars as his style is better suited to that formula.

Personally i dont rate rosberg. Think he is an ok driver in the best car. Whereas Hamilton, Vettel, Alonso, probably Ricciardo and possibly even Vestappen are all better drivers than him.

I would prefer they showed gap to the leader all the time as you can easily see the gap between cars from that but not the other way round. Important when two cars are racing each other but one pits earlier than the other and drops several places back for example.

Haha, yes.

Rosberg is hilarious, after the race, every time he's asked to comment on his MISTAKES he says the same thing, 'I don't know what happened there'. Let me help you Nico, you messed up!!! Next...............

He messed up the start, the wheels didn't spin on their own, they weren't managed properly.

He deliberately ran Verstappen off the track, as is his want, then moans at his engineers to tell the nasty stewards he was trying to turn, honest he was. LIAR!

The funniest thing though, was the 8 second 5 second penalty, Brilliant. With all the technological advances in F1, they can't get a stop watch that works properly. You couldn't make it up!

Brilliant, enjoyed all that.

Well done Hamilton Perfect start, perfect race.

Personally I don't think Alonso qualifies any more for the elite group. My Summer break ranking is:

1= Hamilton, Ricciardo
3 Verstappen - quite possibly will become the best over the next 2 or 3 seasons, maybe sooner. Didn't like the way he seemed not to applaud Lewis and Daniel when they received their trophies on the podium today though.
4 Vettel

Hard to say who's 5th, but I think these 4 are some way ahead of the chasing pack.

Red Bull obviously have the best driver pairing by a mile. As for Rosberg, I'd have him just scraping into the top ten. Fairly quick on a dry, consistent track, although was pretty diamal today and also seemed to throw his toys out of the pram after the penalty, and was poor at Canada too. His performance at Monaco was plain dreadful and Silverstone not much better..

I think Alonso is still among the very best. Just in a god awful car and he knows there is nothing he can do about it. Put him in the Merc, Red Bull or back in a Ferrari and he would be up there fighting for podiums once more.

Being matched or even bettered by a close to retirement Button? That would never have happened a few years ago.

Im not surprised he has lost some motivation though. He is a two time world champ driving an awful car. If it was me im not sure id be putting everything into it anymore either. Not in that car anyway. Id still maintain putting him in one of the top teams and he would be up there once more. You dont become a world champ by being a bad driver.

he apparently will take two+ penalties at one race getting two lots of all the parts he needs to finish the season

As soon as I heard Rosberg say that over the radio, I immediately shouted "The lying bastard!!" (or words to that effect).
Plain as the nose on your face what he was trying to do.
Cheat.

It was deliberate that was plain to see (as the stewards did) so years ago the black flag would have been shown would it not ?

Did Rosberg not realise that he only got away with it prior because he did it to a team mate?

I think the Stewards got at Mercedes and told them to behave. Oh did any of you hear a German F1 fan say Rosberg is not German he was born & brought up in Monaco and his father is from Finland and I believe his mum is from Austria, "I am German and he is NOT"????
