NOT happy if what Bernie has said is true. Next year we could be WITHOUT the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.s they need to lose a race in order to fit Sochi in
It was bullshit.

It was Bernie teaching Suzi Perry that you shouldn't ask questions when you haven't got a f**king clue whether the answers are serious or not.

Button complaining about Maldonado blocking him in Q1 and deserves a penalty.

Kinda pathetic when McLaren are reduced to stuff like that to put a car behind them on the grid.

Commentator getting excited about the times of the drivers who are already knocked out of Q1?

I don't understand how a driver is supposed to move out of the way whilst negotiating a chicane.

Brilliant from Perez, Button made at least one mistake.

Blimey!

Was just getting ready to ask what Hamilton was doing getting a 1:21.7 in Q1 and then a 1:22.5 in Q2.... and then he goes and puts in a 1:21.001.

Button 14th. Perez 7th.
Very odd.

Interesting point from Coulthard: If the Merc' is good in S3 at Barcelona it seems like it'll be strong at Monaco too.

This is a strange question and I probably asked it before but do the F1 cars these days have gear sticks or is it all controlled by various buttons?

Looks like Hamilton is happy enough to only do one run in Q3.

Heh,

So much for the idea that Merc' might not be on the pace this weekend.

Strange final lap from Massa.
Faster than Alonso through S1 and S2 but then well off the pace in S3, thus putting him behind Alonso on the grid.
Fix?

They have paddles on the steering wheel.

I hope the Mercs have improved their race pace. I suspect those behind Rosberg on the grid have a racier setup.

I'm hoping their major updates might have been related to race pace.

Seems like most of their practice sessions were centred around race simulations rather than outright pace.
There were several radio messages during FP which seemed to suggest they were running at high fuel loads etc.

Seems like everybody just expects Merc' to fall away during the race and if they fix that there's going to be a lot of sad faces on the grid.

According to Ant Davidson, Hamilton's car seemed lazier than Rosberg's (bit more unresponsive, bit more understeery), as if he was looking after his tyres, but I'm not sure how much truth is in this.

Oh right. I thought (probably me not looking right) but I thought 1 of the ferarri's we're on a gear stick thingy looked like 1 of them we're moving their left hand in a way where they we're moving a stick or something

Could it have been brake bias adjust?

As above, they have a Brake Bias Control down the side of the cockpit somewhere.

Unless I'm mistaken, it's one of the few remaining controls that is mechanical rather than electronic (and, thus, can't be on the steering wheel) because the rules preclude the use of electronic methods of monkeying around with the brakes.

The rules:-
11.1.3 Any powered device which is capable of altering the configuration or affecting the performance of any part of the brake system is forbidden.
11.1.4 Any change to, or modulation of, the brake system whilst the car is moving must be made by the drivers direct physical input, may not be pre-set and must be under his complete control at all times.
