Enjoyed it! Shame about the tyre issue. Glad I have Michelin on my car
.Even if it wasn't Pirelli's fault. I'm sure it will effect their consumer tyre sales. |

Pirelli have a lot of questions to answer. 4 tyre problems + Vettel's tyre having cuts + Rosberg's as well. Not good.
Up and down race. Happy at Vettel's retirement. Lewis should have won the race - had the pace on Vettel and Rosberg all weekend. But Rosberg drove well through the chaos and kept composed for his 2nd win. And Webber's charge was supreme. |

Great to see Webber on the podium, annoying that Grosjean essentially destroyed his chance of a win - not that any of us thought that at the time though! But 2nd is a great result, hope Red Bull give him the celebration he deserves!

Pirell should turn round and point out that the FIA want rubbish tyres to make the racing more interesting. They're more than capable of making much better tyres than they put on Formula One cars.

Are we talking about Hamilton, Vettel or both?
![]() Vettel will just be relieved Rosberg and Webber finished top two and limited the damage on his lead.

I think it's evens. Rosberg had his bad luck at the start of the season, and Hamilton is having his share. Felt very sorry for him - lucky with the 2 safety cars but could have nicked a podium - if only he'd got the tyre failure/puncture closer to the pits.

Nicco is the most winningest driver at Mercedes thats going to start meaning something. Their car is good enough to win races and they know which driver has done it for them.

Oh I agree entirely, I was just trying to point out that Lewis shouldn't be reading too much into the fact that Nico now has 2 wins to his none - this one was more due to what happened to Lewis and others than to Nico's drive, though credit to him for keeping Webber behind for the last few laps.

And what would you be saying if Hamilton took the win today instead of Rosberg. The fact Rosberg won today, was, yes due to a very solid and composed drive, but due to other factors, but that's motor racing and Rosberg drove well. |

Good on Hamilton for his comments.
Alas, I fear it won't win him any friends. |

What's strange about the tyres is it must be down to driving style.
Massa failed but Alonso was fine. Perez failed (twice) but Button was fine. Hamilton failed but Rosberg was fine. Vergne failed but Riccardo was fine. Most cars didn't have any issues whatsoever. |

Hmm, for me he should be asking himself why he had issues but Rosberg was fine when they're in the same car.
Interesting to listen to Vettel desperately trying to avoid suggesting there's any safety implication in having marginal tyres. Cos, if he said there was a safety concern, the next question would surely be "Well, in that case, why complain when Pirelli tries to solve the issue?". |

Hamilton could have won it. It's difficult to say for sure because of how it went wrong early for him, through no fault of his own I might add. Rosberg might have been gifted it a tiny bit and he can win races but Hamilton can do it, baring any mechanical or tyre difficulties.
I'm sure the crowd were cheering at Vettel's retirement because he's a bit of a Schumacher for being too dominent in the last 3 and a half years. Well done to all those who had tyre blowouts and managed to score a decent amount of points (Hamilton and Massa). I feel sorry for the Force India's. I wanted Sutil to grab a podium. |

Rosberg's tyres were cut and partially delaminated when he made his final pitstop.

Cos, if he said there was a safety concern, the next question would surely be "Well, in that case, why complain when Pirelli tries to solve the issue?". And most tyres appear to suffer from at least partial delamination if not more after a run. The point is that they cut and delaminate to force pits stops. Maybe it's time for the FIA to request the strongest tyres as possible from Pirelli and change the regulations so the fuel boxes have to be refilled mid-race instead. |
