Is the safety car really needed now? The car's in a safe position.

How come Alonso has ended up in 4th place while Hamilton's now 7th?

That's the first time I've seen a driver race someone into the pits.

When a car moves all by itself then I guess it was an impulse decision =P

Hamilton pitted before the safety car.

True. It would have been funny if it had started to race.

I think Webber's in a false position.

I thought Silverstone was mad enough with the exploding tyres but now we have cars doing the marshal's job for them!

Yeah but if he pitted from racing speed, dropped back and then the SC was deployed, Alonso should have only been as fast through the pits, if not slower.

Button and Hulk' have only stopped once so I suppose that's part of it but I don't see why Alonso should have made up time compared to a driver who pitted from race speed.

SC taking a long time the car stopped on an access road should have been cleared quickly.

Clearly the car thought that it was in an unsafe place and wanted to move itself

Nah that car was trying to hide. It's embarrassed to be a Marussia. It was like 'F U lot, I'm out of here'.

Amazed the safety car's still out, it seems to be taking a long time to clear the car. Unless it's decided to carry on racing, a bit like a horse that unseats its rider!

ETA: It's coming in at the end of this lap...

Lucky break for Webber.

He was dead last, a lap down and 2 minutes behind and that's been reduced to 20-odd seconds.

Alonso was faster on his in lap and Hamilton's speed was inhibited when the Ferrari came in because of the safety car? I have to admit, I'm not sure.

Maybe it's just fussy and doesn't want to be touched.

Now... if the Lotus' are two-stopping how will Vettel fair with the tyres?

They had to wait for Webber to catch the back of the pack.

I think it was actually going faster when it was rolling back then it does when it's racing.

Maybe it was a secret 'backward drive' test?

Here it is then.

Fernando Alonso Drawing.

I'm not an expert at drawing and it's just a hobby.

I think he may have as he isn't pulling away like he usually does.

Encouragement given to Vettel to up his pace don't think I've heard that before.
