If rumours are True about Alonso possibly moving to Red bull, why would he want to move there unless he is willing to be the no 2 to Vettel and I can't see it that, after what happen at McLaren a few years back I would of thought he would want to be the no1 driver
![]() And if Kimi does go to red Bull could Jenson move to Lotus and Di Resta to McLaren or Ferrari

I thought it was impossible to activate unless the car in front was within a second
![]() They were mentioning it at the start of every race but the issue seems to have been quietly brushed under the carpet now. Quote:
Sadly €15,000 won't touch the pockets of either Ferrari or that little whiny b***h Alonso.
And using the DRS to keep up with the car in front or put distance between yourself and the car behind certainly seems like a sporting offence to me. Anyway, moving along, it's kinda hard to dislike Vettel (as a person) IMO. His interview was pretty good. When asked if he'd prefer Alonso or Kimi as a team-mate he immediately said "I prefer to have Kimi" and then a big grin appeared on his face and he said "I have to be careful what I say but I think Kimi would be more fun". Uhuh, somehow I think Vettel would prefer to have a wingman who he could go out drinking and whoring with.

I am well aware of that, but it seems that many people do not understand what it is actually for.

Bit of a boring race to be honest. Although if you are a Hamilton fan, then I guess you enjoyed it. It seems Hungary have secured their long term future. Having signed a contract that will keep them on the calendar to 2020 (sorry, cant remember the exact date - but its at least 2020).
Some great action at the start. How close was Vettel to Grosjean at the start ![]() Glad to see the Grosjean really does seem to have sorted out his first lap incidents. He really is a competent driver - once he could past the first lap. Bad luck for Nico, he really does seem to get all the bad luck in that team. Also a mention to Maldonado who scored Williams first point of the season. A poor showing from Ferrari as well. It seems as though this years title is Vettels to loose. I hope Alonso doesnt move to RB. I would rather see one of the Torro Rosso drivers get the seat than Alonso. I still think Kimi will go there - well I hope so. Would love to see a Kimi/Vettel pairing. Plus they both get on - as well as anyone in F1 gets on with Kimi. |

The Ferrari fine reminds me of Michael Winner's remark; "I've found out that you can drive in the bus lane for only £60!"
Now, the teams will be saying "Great! We can activate DRS for only €15,000." |

My most memorable moment is when asked, on the pitwalk, why he hadn't been to Michael Schumacher's 'leaving ceremony', "I was busy having a shit"!
Recently. he did some PR work on ice, and one of the presenters asked if she could have a go at driving, he said no problem. She struggled round the track, and had a minor prang in one of the bends. Afterwards she asked Kimi "what do I need to do to become a driver?" (or something along those lines, he replied "Make sure you have plenty of spare parts" ![]() Found the clip..well worth a watch. His comments in the car as she is driving, are great. |

There is a couple of compilation youtube clips of Kimi in interviews. He is actually quite a funny guy. A very dry sense of humour.

The main news story on BBC's sport site (ahead of Bale wanted to go to Real Madrid) has huge ramifications for Forza Ferrari as he has to back the deluded Ferrari chief of an underachieving team with huge resources who have been carried single handed over the past 4 years by the most complete all-round driver currently in F1:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/23495111 Fernando Alonso rebuked by Ferrari chief Di Montezemelo Whatever your personal opinion is about Alonso's off the cuff truthful quip. By Ferrari making this private conversation public they have made a terrible ill judgement (much like their wind tunnel over the past few years). |

Alonso to red bull would be extremely exciting. It will be Alonso's real chance of winning the title again and Vettel's chance to prove his doubters wrong about his ability.
Plus it would be a genuine 50/50, I couldn't see Alonso going unless it was straight down the middle. |

So... Alonso to Red Bull. di Resta to Ferrari. Ricciardo to Lotus. Kimi to..? Not a lot left, if Lotus can't afford him again.

The way things currently are, with Vettel winning everything in sight, Raikkonen having a car which is, at least, outstanding in certain conditions and Hamilton going to Merc' just as it's starting to look like it might become a crushingly good car if they can figure out the tyre problems, Alonso must be starting to feel like "the grass is greener" elsewhere and comments suggesting he needs to put the team before himself (whatever that means) aren't going to do much to encourage him to stay. I think Alonso probably figured he could sign a long-term deal at Ferrari, win a handful of championships and then retire but it hasn't happened, he's not getting any younger and he's probably starting to wonder if it's more likely that another championship is going to come from Ferrari or from elsewhere. And if he does leave Ferrari, and they can't find themselves a seriously good replacement, where does that leave Ferrari? Massa's no slouch and, with a couple of years of only the sort of results he's managed to bring to the team, Ferrari are going to find themselves well out of contention for any championships. |

All the "many great drivers have put Ferrari before themselves" nonsense really shows how deluded Montezuma really is.

Massa would be more successful if he was treated as the number one driver.
It's rather silly for Ferrari to piss Alonso off while there's a seat open at RBR for next year. No team stays at the top forever and I suspect it would suit both Alonso and RBR to sign him for a 1 year deal, see what happens and then go from there. What's more, Alonso's probably more worried about winning a championship than he is about being well-paid right now so I could see him agreeing to deal that RBR would find hard to resist. |

Sounds like a storm in a teacup - whipped up by the media. Montezemelo has fired a shot across Alonsos bows thats all. No big deal. Whilst Alonso might not be happy with the progress made by Ferrari, they have to stick together, and pull in the same direction.
I wouldnt read to much into it. http://www.autoweek.com/article/20130731/F1/130739975 Bild: Ferrari offers Kimi Räikkönen Formula One seat for 2014: As the old saying goes "there's no smoke without fire" .... so Ferrari need the Iceman to put out the fire ....

What, you mean a rumour in Germany's equivalent to the Sun?
Hardly gospel is it mate, I doubt he's perched behind his sofa quivering with embarrassment. Besides this time last year they were the first to report the ridiculous story of McLaren Lewis Hamilton to replace Michael Schumacher at Mercedes. Initially most F1 experts thought it was ridiculous as 1. Mercedes would not have the balls to tell Schumacher to call it a day + backlash from Germans and sponsors; etc; and 2. Hamilton would be crazy moving from McLaren to the (then) underachieving German team; when he'd be better off leaving it a year when more spaces became available at the top teams. It was only some 48 Hours later when Eddie Jordan said this story had legs that the media began to take it seriously .... |
