I stand by my post. Ferrari made the offer to Kimi before the race (on Thursday). Montezemelo had a word with Alonso after the race (on Monday) - due to the comments made by Alonso. If Alonso hadnt made his comments Montezemelo wouldnt have had the word. The offer (if the article is true) was already made before this incident. I dont think the two incidents are related. The article has turned it into paper talk linking the two bits of info. How could Ferrari have known of the 'rift' before it happened? Have they got some kind of crystal ball or something?
There is always the option for Ferrari to have both Alonso and Kimi in the team. Massas contract is up at the end of the season.
Anyone remember Kimi doing some PR work, when Montezemelo turned up. Montezemelo sent his man to go and get Kimi. Kimi basically told the guy to FOff as he was busy and Montezemelo has to wait until he is finished! You got to love Kimi
