Thats a big if. I agree if people at the top, Marko, Horner etc want Vettel as a number 1 - then the other driver will find it hard. However I dont think it is clear that they do. Horner asking Vettel to stay behind Webber was proof of that. For them (Horner, etc) the team comes first, not Vettel. Vettel comes first, when there is a race or two to go and hes in a fight for the title..like last year. Previous years hes won it easily so not much of an issue. The teams priority has always been the constructors title first and then the driver title.

In other news, Horner has said that Kimi is not defiantly out of the running. There is still a chance he may be a RBR driver next year (although it does seem small). However he has also said other big names have asked for the seat as well. I am guessing by big names he means Alonso and Hamilton. It certainly wouldnt surprise me if both of those drivers have made enquires. Button has also been mentioned in rumours.

As someone who relies on BBC coverage, I'm looking forward to the first live race
Since the British GP on 30th June.

Both Marussias make it through and van der Garde was third fastest.

Di Resta may get in trouble for nearly hitting that Marussia at the final corner, I seem to recall someone getting a penalty at Hungary for rejoining the track after a spin.

Well, it was a great strategy until they inexplicably let Di Resta just sit in the pits for the last 5 minutes. In such changeable conditions you just can't do that!

All credit to Mercedes and Red Bull for not giving up, but a bit of naivety there from Force India I think.

Did the commentator on bbc tv go to the toilet to eh, relieve himself.
Its why i dont listen to him(flicking between bbc & 5live footy) , you`d think hamilton was winning 100metres olympic final.Over excited tube(my opinion only).

Paul di Resta is very much in the blame game when things go wrong, but couldn't wait to take credit today !

Great Q3 and well done Ham - but the BBC1 commentators completely missed the fact that Hamilton was almost eliminated in Q2! They only noticed he was P10 about 3 minutes after Q2 finished and then tried to gloss over it (probably because they'd missed it ). Ham and the team must have been wetting themselves as there were a couple more cars still to cross the line after he was pushed down to P10 by that late rush.

I didn't record Sky F1 Q2 today so don't know if they did any better.

One of the most exciting qualifying sessions I have seen for a long time - good old Spa never fails to surprise us.

Well done to Max Chilton, but a shame he couldn't exploit the opportunity any more than he did, but still, quite some achievement for him, let's hope it wasn't just a flash in the pan.

But obviously the session goes to Lewis Hamilton, dragging himself out of the almost certain oblivion of Q2 and going on to take pole.....again.

Greenpeace landing on the roofs and microlights above. What will happen next?!
Forza Ferrari

Greenpeace are such a waste of space first they give up on save the whales and abandon the in the souther ocean now they are doing this stupid messing around at a grand prix.

Martin brudel makes a good point about the dropping something.

Shouldn't this race be delayed the grandstand emptied and the people taken away.

Risky and stupid to just wait and see what these people do. Whats to say their not violent or dangerous in another way. For all anybody knows they are not really Greenpeace but some crazier group pretending to be them.
