Quite a few singers sell their albums on QVC these days.. Its just another outlet for sales. I don't see it as a failure ..I see it as clever marketing .. Quite a lot of people go on these channels near Xmas for gift ideas

It's a bit desperate imo. Radio stations won't play it and as it just seems to be an album of reworked show tunes, I'm not surprised she's been reduced to flogging it on QVC. I do like Mel - she and Emma Bunton seem the most normal of the SG's, so I think it's a bit sad to see her doing this.

She's by no means the only relatively high-profile singer to be flogging their latest offerings on QVC. The music industry has changed and you've got to take what you can, especially somebody like Mel who will be seen as 'older' when compared with all the tweenie singers and X Factor groups.

It may not be a particularly illustrious audience but at least she's realistic enough to give it a go. Couldn't imagine Queen Victoria daring to 'lower' herself to such a level!!

It is a shame. She IS a great singer with a great voice. I believe she has her own record label in which case CDs have been pressed and need to be sold!

God, they still do the old "there's not much stock" or/and "while we still have stock left" type of lines on QVC in a psychological attempt to panic the buyer into making a rush decision. The bubble was burst on those old ploys years ago! Those sort of tricks must still work with QVC's audience.

A day sitting on a sofa talking about yourself isn't exactly difficult work. Flogging your tat on QVC is only one step up from the Daily Mail giving it away.
