Christmas cake cooking time
When I visited my friend yesterday, she showed me her Christmas cake. I was with her two weeks ago, when she was mixing it and it was a lovely mixture, but I don't think she has cooked it for long enough. She rang me while it was actually in the oven and said it looked done, but had only been in the oven 2 and a half hours when the recipe said four. So she took it out. Its not really that dark brown from baking either. I haven't said anything to her but I'm wondering if it'd ruin it to put it back in the oven for a while, I hate to think of her going thro the work of almond paste and icing it if its doughy inside. I tlloks quite a big cake, perhaps about 10". Any suggestiions.
