I thought they all hung around until the end of the show but apparently Nadine is back. I suppose she has come back to stop all of the flooding and to solve the Euro crisis.

Anyone who criticises her is 'jealous' apparently. No love, you're just the world's most aggravating, arrogant and up yourself female, you make me ashamed to be a woman.

I hope she manages it.

She wants the Constervative whip back, staying in Australia would hurt that.

She posted on twitter at teatime telling all the photographers that are sat outside her house that its pouring with rain and she had no intention of going out so they may as well go home ... cant see she would have said that if she was back in Australia

Jesus do people really buy the bullcrap that the papers are pushing? Seriously an MP went on holiday - they all damn well do it.

I could understand being pissed off if she'd done it in addition to a holiday - but she didn't.

The Conservative whip has been removed from her, meaning she is no longer a Conservative MP.. she's an independent now because of her appearance on the show. She's got meetings and is hoping to have it reinstated in the morning.. that's not bullcrap, it's a legitimate story.

Could you provide a (non newspaper/NewsCorp) source that proves that? Because all we've had so far is a bunch of lies being printed.

She spoke about the whip being withdrawn on the show and I know about the meetings from ITV's news at six tonight, but here is your link: http://www.itv.com/news/story/2012-1...et-chief-whip/

It was well publicised when it was announced she was going into the show, i'm surprised you missed it. Here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2...im-a-celebrity

Did you read what you just linked me to? It claims she was suspended pending a meeting - that does NOT equal withdrawal - a VERY different situation.

In any case -even when you read that article it's full of crap.

a "SOURCE" - note how they dont say anything more than that. We could all report stuff as fact that way: I heard from a source inside ITV yesterday that Eric Bristow has been rigged to win I'm a celeb.

See?

The "interview" with her TODAY at Heathrow (in the link above) she confirms that the whip has not been withdrawn, and that it's the papers printing lies.

It was withdrawn pending investigation.. that's what suspended means. In any case, it's been widely covered by the BBC and ITV and I saw an interview with her on ITV's news at six about it.

Anyway perhaps this brief clip of the prime minister will convince you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JREKi_RWD9k

It's about time the Whip was used. Anyone know how many lashes the Chief Whipper will deliver? And any word about her 'reaching out to the people' with her appearance fee? No?...thought not..

Nobody forces Naddy to do anything, she says.
She was fully intending to stay in Australia until the end of the series (she was quoted directly herself in an interview as saying that the day after she came out) but at a guess she's not stupid, and has realised she's not looking good already at a constituency level and the people who elected her (she probably doesn't care about the parliamentary level and the people there) so has come back so that she can say "look, I did the right thing - I could have stayed on but I didn't" etc etc.

The Conservative whip has been removed from her, meaning she is no longer a Conservative MP.. she's an independent now because of her appearance on the show. She's got meetings and is hoping to have it reinstated in the morning.. that's not bullcrap, it's a legitimate story.
Nadine herself, in the show, was explaining to someone who was asking her about all the hoo-hah and she said herself (paraphrasing, but essentially this is what came out of her own mouth) "The whip has been removed, so for the time being I'm an independent MP because you can't be affiliated to the party without the whip. However, I'm going to sort all of this out and I'm sure they'll give it back to me when I get home".

As I say, paraphrasing, but whilst I can't remember her exact words, that is what Nadine herself said. If 'out of the horse's mouth' isn't good enough for the other poster who's doubted your summation of the situation then I don't know what is!

As for the 'holiday' thing, as far as I'm concerned your MPs have enough holidays (luckily I'm not governed by your lot over here in the Channel Islands!) and (like the teacher I am) should be at work during 'term time' with no exceptions unless it's for illness or compassionate grounds. I feel I can say that, being in a job which would equally not allow me a month off when I should be at work to go to Australia - I'd be told "book it for during your long, summer holidays". And rightly so.

Nadine might be able to 'bend' what could be seen to be 'right' to suit herself, and others might be happy to justify that for her, but it leaves a nasty taste when she gets enough holidays anyway. And yes, I know they still work in the 'holidays' too - so do teachers! Nadine chose to enter parliament, and that comes with certain expectations of behaviour. If she doesn't like that then perhaps she should step down?

With the amount of positive press UKIP is getting at the mo, would't be at all surprised if she jumped ship, especially with her current high profile.

Saw her on TV this morning moaning about all the bitching about her saying she's entitled to a holiday

What's that 3 month break you have in the Summer then love if it's not a holiday ?

I found this article:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...-steve-1459845

Apparently she criticised a Labor MP for taking time off for heart surgery and the Conservative whip hasn't been given back to her yet.

She's one cheeky mare. The MP she had a go at was working from his hospital bed!

BBC local radio presenter has a go at her here:

and at her twit of a parliamentary secretary here:
