Agree with you steve.
Just took a look at the new release schedule on CoolClarity and G4 have a single due out in March. No title yet though but hoping it will be Creep.

I agree there's no need for any nastiness on either side here.

For me, the signs are very hopeful as they have been all along - the amount of public profiling G4 have had this week suggested that something was in the offing (you don't get Trafalgar Square covered in snow for just bunging £20 to a couple of blokes you met in the pub, someone had to pay for all that!!).

Assuming we do have an official announcement to look forward to in the New Year then, ultimately, everyone's a winner and hopefully the other talents unearthed by the show will get their just rewards in due course

Hey, I'm new here. Really love G4 and I think whether Louis is talking nonsense or not, they will be really successful whenever they finally release an album! I'm in the process of making a G4 fan site at www.g4world.co.uk, would be great if some fans could visit it

.....just been over to look at that Arty......very interesting indeed. Hoping as you say, it will indeed be Creep. So singles are usually released 1/2 weeks before albums, aren`t they, so early March then??

If the single is released early March the album won't be out for Mother's Day as Louis said which is 6th March. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Can't be the 6th of March as that would be within the 3 months. The final was on November 11th. If singles are normally released on a Monday that would make March 14th the earliest release date.

.....I wouldn`t have thought the 3 months rule would be strictly adhered to give or take a week or two as Sony/BMG sponsored the show anyway

Maybe your right Penny but it still leaves the problem of the boys being able to do promotion because of the tour. Its all good though so we'll have to see how things pan out.

Its more than likely that Louis doesn't actually know when Mother's Day is. I had to look it up to check the date. I would have expected Mother's Day to be later in the month, the 6th does seem early.

TBH, with the tour (and rehearsals prior to that) a March release for an album sounds like a very tight time schedule.

Personally I'd hate them to rush something out just as a quick cash-in. Their potential has already been extremely poorly served by the X-factor show format - the brevity of most of the songs and the need to get maximum impact into a very short time meant that a lot of the subtlety I'm sure they are capable of was lost. I'd hate to see the same thing happen with a rushed album.

"...if people only posted in threads where they liked the artist, most threads would end up like team G4..."

Sure. Not everyone is gonna luv G4. But if not, walk away. No need to stir it up. As your grandma told yer: if you haven't got something good to say, best say nowt.

Cheers!

Totally agree - I like G4, and think they show real promise but wouldn't insult them by making a 'sympathy' CD purchase. Would rather wait while they get themselves over the show and tour.

Me too

I think the end of March at the earliest is more realistic

Mothers Day or not the boys album will sell very well I feel

Mothering Sunday is 6th March next year - i think it's lunar which is why it seems particularly early

Actually, now i've said that, i think it has something to do with Easter (which is Lunar) and it's 21 days before Easter Sunday so choccy eggs must be early thes year too!

It is related to Easter tiger, it is always half way between Ash Wed and Easter (half way through Lent) it was the day the big houses let the servants go home to visit their mothers and they would take baskets of food and stuff for them. Thats why it changes every year.

Not the same in the States and Europe where its May 8th for some reason, every year.

I have always worked in the music indsutry since elaving school, and I know which Manager I would stay with any day between Louis and Simon - one that is not too faced! and only interested in himself.

LOUIS WALSH is hard working, you only have to see what he achieved with Boyzone and Westlife to name two, Louis will never pick up and artist and then just drop them - that was what was so "self righteous" when Simon attacked Sharon last week.

Rubbish. Managers want success, Louis is no different to Simon, except people dont like him. Simon has had more success than Louis, but that doesnt mean Louis isnt a good manager - just that he aint no saint either

Simon and Louis worked together on westlife... Louis discovered them and took them to Simon, from what I've heard, Simon is responsible for most of their success. I think Louis and Simon have a lot more in common than we get to see on camera. Louis wants to make money too, he's just more subtle about it! The difference is that Louis is a manager, so has to come across as caring more for the artists, (which i'm sure he does), whereas Simon is the record company guy so has to make tough decisions about who to sign and who not to sign... doesn't mean he cares any less, but he can't have the same level of commitment to an individual artist.

GK - "That`s a good deal then?"

LW - "Sony UK - It`s done yeah.....it`s not signed but it`s as good as signed. We`re already picking the songs for the album. The album will be out for Mothers Day and I think they are going to be fantastic."

GK - "You`re going to manage G4?"

LW - "I am going to manage G4 absolutely"”

Didn't he also hint that the album would lean more towards opera than pop?
