Now I think I might like them more but do you think this could potentially lose them some of their younger audience?

Very probably, but the'll be fickle anyway, so they probably need to bite the bullet and establish their longer-term market!

Yep - I think the marketing boys need to do their job very carefully.

I don't think they'll split in the short term but I think it's highly likely farther down the line that a record company would want to capitalise on Jon's personal marketability.

They do like Jon plus three backing singers don't they? I know Spell has explained that's not the concept but to the untrained ear and eye that is how they come over. As the programme progressed that distinction became more and more apparent. I think they even gave the lead bits to Jon, which were previously sung by one of the others. I think again capitalising on Jon not only vocally but as the more obvious "looker" of the four.

I'll be interested to see where their concept goes in the future even though they're not my personal favourite.

Does Ireland have the same date for Mothers Day as the UK? My mother in Law lives in Brazil and it is in May or June over there, the US one is also different from ours. Maybe Louis was talking about a different date?

I agree, SR. Jon is the most 'marketable' of the four and also happens to have the most distinctive voice, they were definitely focusing on this throughout X Factor.

I get the feeling that this is not how the group see themselves, and hope they now get a chance to work with a more equal balance. Their voices blend so beautifully and their arrangements are nice, I hope we get to hear more of this from now on.

one of the three, sorry four, I'm getting confuddled with all the permutations,,,anyway, I think Matt said in response to a question about their future, something along the lines that there would be a G4 for a long time, but they may pursue individual stuff as well.

Hope I'm not misquoting; somebody who has seen the article as well may well correct me

I'm pretty sure I read an article somewhere where Ben (I think!) said that they may be like Destiny's Child, where they would go off and do solo work then get back together again.
