If my daughter decided to go to reality show when older, I would print it to her brain, that there will be negative feedback, if she isn't ready for it, not to go. Also, I would make sure she knows, that I love her no matter what, and the feedback doesn't define her.

Helen didn't do anything she should be ashamed of, she wasn't mean or hurtful, just seeking attention in silly ways. She should have strong enough confidence to know this, and actually be able to say it to those critiquing her.

Im sorry to say that if my daughter behaved in that way I would be hanging my head in shame.

Helen is a 'celebrity' and as such has to put up with both positive and negative comments. As many people on here have said, dont go into these programmes if you cant take criticism.

No interview on This Morning

IMO she thinks she is bigger than the programme

Exactly - couldn't have put it better myself. She's not a child any more, albeit some of her antics are childish - and her mother is to blame for allowing her to spend so much of her money unwisely. She needs to grow up and learn about life in general, ie: how to wash and blow dry her own hair. I think that when she watches herself she'll be ashamed of herself for some of the things she said and did, especially the pouting pouting pouting. However, as said by Fingers, Helen was never hurtful to anyone.

I know some of behaviour was a bit childlike but essentially she seems to be a nice person and from what I saw she didn't bitch about the other celebs- i guess having hair and make up done etc from the age of 9 did probably give her a rose tinted aspect on life but people around her must have indulged that attitude and perhaps they (parents manager etc) should have kept her more grounded- she may be cringing a bit at some of the things we were shown and hopefully there is nothing more serious keeping her from being interviewed now-

Not everybody develops the same though. One 22 year old will be totally different to another and at totally different stages etc.

Because she's the definition of an easy target.

She did'nt lose the trials on purpose, she just got too scared, most of us would have.

I think Helen went in the show because she beleived facing her fears would help but she just was'nt confident enough. At the end of the day she is just a young girl not some body evil. Also the patting her mouth that some ppl were nasty about, on a body language site I read it said ppl do that when they are anxious.

Anyway hope Helen is ok and back in Corrie soon! ”

Umm... that's not intelligence.

I remember an interview with the actress who plays Sophie Webster - who had a Saturday job in a hairdresser I'm sure she said her mum had told her always to have a "back up" plan if her career didn't work out.

Also can somebody please tell me why Helen kept on touching her lips?

I noticed she was doing it when Rosemary and Hugo were shouting at each other perhaps its a stress thing.

I know there are many women in their 20's who are intelligent independent and quite frankly put Helen's behavior to shame. There is though a lot of young women who I call the the princess/wag generation. Girls who aspire to bag a footballer, get on a reality TV show, xfactor, do a nuts shoot etc. Anything but a real job. My own cousin is like this and it really drives me nuts.I realise Helen has been in a soap for many years and earned her own money but I think she does not have the versatility to be a 'real' actress. She has clearly been indulged all her life and not been taught real life skills by her parents. I think by not showing for her interviews Helen is still playing her game and making the public wait for her grand entrance.

She's probably tired. I think I'd need a couple of days complete quiet, lots of sleep, after the jungle experience. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Grand entrance - ha - first we'll see the bosoms followed by the red lips, then that stylish hairdo, scrubbed up and polished tan ... and will it be worth the wait - nah ...

Brooke Vincent only gave up her part-time job, in a friend's pub fairly recently and has been known to still do the odd cover shift for them, even after her part ceased being the, "silent Webster",
