Why won't anyone either join in arguments or stop them?

So it's happened yet again. More arguing/disagreements that got out of control and not one other person either agreed, disagreed with Rosemary or Hugo, or tried to stop the nonsense. Sitting there agog ... just sitting there. Neither of them were right and neither were wrong, but once they had decided to call it a day, Rosemary piped up again and Hugo felt the need to have his say again.

I'd have told them enough is enough and to calm down; stop playing up to the cameras; and get on with life.

Two adults are quite capable of sorting out their differences without people sticking their oar in. It clears the air.

I noticed this on BB this year too. Everyone just sat silently while others argued, whereas in previous years you would get everyone piling in.

Where were David and Ashley? (I don't think they would have got involved but I just wondered where they were)

I thought I did hear someone off camera trying to intervene in the row between Rosemary and Hugo last night but they were ignored?

I thought that at first but it did go on a bit too much. I would have stepped in eventually. And as for not prejudicing the viewers. Sometimes keeping quiet is seen as being a wimp as well.

It was something and nothing, not worth anyone else sticking their oar in. Rosemary and Hugo were capable of sorting it out for themselves and they did, over.

My thoughts too. The others were just staring agog (great word btw), I guess, because it came out of nowhere and was over nothing. I suspect the only reason the forum was in meltdown over it is because we've seen so little conflict and they all get along.

Did it actually go on that long? My perception of it was it probably lasted a minute or two and in my mind's eye I could see them all having a laugh at it a few moments after.

It was a small argument, no one really shouted, got really angry or threatening. It's good for adults sometimes just air out their differences, and this one was one of those healthy arguments.
