This is rather nonsensical, nobody has said the only people who would vote for Dougie are McFly fans.
McFly have a large and solid fan base, a long term one, and maintain a reasonably young fan base (who are likely to vote on these types of shows).
Therefore Dougie had a large fan base from the outset; who would block his vote, then non McFly fans like yourself would add on top of this fan vote.
In other words; the "teenie boppers"; or "MyFly Fans" would balloon his vote; the normal voters would then exceed that vote further.
Thats not the same as "all voters for Dougie are McFly Fans and teenie boppers", it's nothing like saying that.
It's also not an unreasonable thing to state (teenie boppers) because of who vote on these shows. I know loads of people who watch; males, females, teenagers and adults.
I'm an adult male, I do not vote on these shows. Of the other adult males I know who watch the show (quite a few), none of them admit to voting.
Of the adult females I know, a few of them vote. I think there might be a bit of a demographic who do; though I haven't really thought too much about it.
Of the teenage females I know, they pretty much all vote. Of the teenage males I know, some of them vote.
There is a truth to the teenage/younger female vote on reality & talent shows; they do appear to make up the bulk of the voting audience; all I have to do is look at Facebook and towards my younger family members and their friends and it screams loud and clear who are the voters from who I know.
If you look at other online places where people chat (and you can see their rough demographic), it reflects. It also reflects who does well on these shows.
Now, that does not mean voters are exclusively younger females; what it means is, they make up the majority and influences, quite strongly who gets to the endgame.

It's not a show for British celebrities, I've never heard it described as such, it's always had one or more non British celebrities on it.
