... why did he get voted in again? I didn't watch prior to the live shows, but when I looked at the four wild cards, I thought he had no chance of getting in. He did not have any star quality and his "nerves" don't mean sh** to me even if they were real.

What did he do before the live shows that got everyone voting for him? Don't tell me he has a good voice; it's hardly serviceable and tells no story.

Biggest chris fan of DS forums, but I didn't understand before. Know I see if chris has the thing that no x winner has ever had except Leon Jackson and matt. That special something, star quality and sex appeal

I thought all the wild cards were a bit crap really. My old lady friend says she votes for Christopher because she can understand the words when he sings, though

Just what we need, the 10000000th exact replica of every other Christopher Malone thread. Seriously, do people not read the rest of the threads in the forum, or do they actually think they are raising any new discussion?

He does have a very good voice, certainly the best of those left in the competition. That is very relevant and actually tells much of the story. Added to that, I guess his personality, the way he has been treated and handled that treatment and the fact that he offers something different from the others might be factors. Also, he is just a guy with a great singing voice singing popular songs and doing them straight. He doesn't steal live lounge or youtube covers and try to pass himself off as the next Bowie. He just does his thing and hopes for votes.

Don't you mean "pleads" for votes?

I find him and his singing utterly repulsive

I most certainly DON'T love him. He's irritating, and a nut case for attempting to strangle a woman.

I reckon people vote for him because they like his utter lack of charisma. Who wants to see sexy people on telly?

True. The group would have saturated the category, the girl and the boy would have been swallowed whole, and don't get me started on...

I should have been more clear: I meant in my original post that his voice doesn't tell a story; it just hits notes.

Does anyone seriously think that James has a better singing voice than Chris?

They need their hearing tested.

Not everyone sits around the forum, digging through old threads, you know

I certainly don't. I think James's voice is overly-affected and annoying. And, he can't sing well either. Chris sings the songs straight (hence the karaoke jibes) but he is honest, in his singing at least. Like I said in my earlier post, he's not attempting to pass off other artists' interpretations of songs (doing covers of covers)as his own. I do understand what the OP means by singing with feeling but I have more of a problem with the phoney angst you get from somebody like James not singing in their own voice as I do from somebody like Chris giving straight, dry, technical deliveries. As for the karaoke jibes, I wouldn't disagree. But there is nothing wrong with 'karaoke' if it's absolute top notch, professional standard delivery and that is what Chris gives. He's a really good singer and doesn't pretend to be anything else.

Not my concern. I'm not creating a choir.

Chris sounds like a robot (notes programmed in with no meaning behind them) whereas James sing likes a human being with soul.

But he's on his hands and knees desperately bleating out the same old tired phrases.

Do we really think this guy is gonna finish in the top two, is he really the best singer of the last 4, assuming that's what this show is about ?

Oh dear it seam people have a problem with how other people spend their money. Its nobody's business but their own on why they voted for him, So some people need to get over it.

I dont rate the guy myself but I dont have a problem with people voting for him after all it their money not mine. Just Like I didnt have a problem with people voting for Rylan and he was nothing but this years XF joke act.

It's not having a problem. It's called "being curious." You should try it!
