Çharlies daughter Kiki is with her grandmother ,.... Charlie's mother and although I dont agree with them putting the child in that position it was probably explained well to her what would and could happen and who knows maybe she got to see her mum but it wasnt aired on camera

I have no doubt that once the cameras stopped rolling on that particular 'storyline', Charlie and her daughter met up - they wouldn't be that cruel to a little girl.

Also first of all dont put your child through the trauma of the door experience (this would have obvs needed her permission upfront) Have found her okay up to now but not liking the dramatics tonight.....also stop blaming Eric for the door choice - its bloody random!!

I am waiting for annihalation here, but I find her a little disingenuine..”

Everything is intensified in the jungle. There is very little to focus on, nothing to distract. Haven't you notice that they all over react to situations that would mean nothing inside? Minor things become magnified. Where was the trauma for Kiki in the door game. Did the child look distressed? No, she just carried on watching her mother on tv, knowing she will see her in a couple of days. If you're not keen on someone you will see fault in everything they do, unless you really make an effort to be rational.

I've criticised Charlie's behaviour before but honestly I'm shocked as to how anyone can't understand that completely natural reaction. I'm not even a parent and I understand it.
Being paid will not ease the sadness she feels at being away from her child in a highly stressful enviroment. Knowing she was so close to getting a little cuddle off her probably made it even worse.
Tbh I think it was quite cruel of the producers to even make family and friends an option behind one of the doors, I'm sure everyone would've given up their other treat to see their loved ones.

Charlie is actually my favourite! I felt the child did look disappointed and upset. I don't think it was pleasant viewing and feel the producers should only use older, more worldly wise family members for those type of games.

Charlie had to have agreed beforehand they could have shown her daughter or she was allowed to be on the show. She was in the known, and agreed to it. The producers just cannot go and put people's children on their shows without parental approval.

Charley agreed to this, and then played it up for the cameras.

Well I didn't think Charlie was acting. Her child is young and parents of young children always want to see them and cuddle them. The people criticising her for this are being ridiculous.

I agree - no-one under the age of 16.

I would really, really hate to live in such a world of cynicism. Of course Charlie didn't know, any more than Eric did; I am astonished that any parent would not see that it was upsetting for her to know that her little girl could hear her choosing another door, even though Charlie quickly calmed down and acknowledged that it was just part of the game.

There is no reason in the world, other than a desire to discredit Charlie that does no one any credit, to suppose that Charlie had the faintest inkling of what was happening. None of them did. They may indeed have asked her if she minded Kiki being shown during the series since all contestants are met by their families on the bridge. Or they may not, since children appear on tv every day of the year in background shots and accompanying adults, and contrary to this convenient let's-abuse-Charlie fantasy, of course no permission is needed.

I can't understand the endless sneers of people every time someone on a tv show misses their young child that 'you shouldn't have left them then'. People often work away for a period; three weeks is far shorter than many people leave children for, and there is nothing more natural than to have a short time away from your child but to miss them painfully even so. I really think some people have incredibly closed minds.

We saw footage of Kiki at the hotel a day or two ago...all families over there get filmed. She'll be there to meet her mum when Charlie leaves.
Just another stick to beat Charlie with by those who don't like her.

Of course she would look disappointed! They missed out on an opportunity to see each other. I'm sure this isn't the first time Kiki has felt disappointment, and it won't be the last. UI don't think she'll be scarred for life, she old enough to understand what's happening.

Of course it is. And I haven't voted so far, because I didn't mind much who won as long as it is not Eric, but the tone of these posts is so judgmental and spiteful that I am going to put a few votes in for Charlie after all.

sometimes I think I must live on a different planet
I thought it was cruel to the child and I am totally convinced Charlie didn't think for one minute her daughter was behind one of those doors and nor would I in that position

I can't read whether you are being sarcastic or not because I agree with everything you have written above.

I was referring to all those who NEVER make mistakes or bad decisions. Or the huge amount of hypocrites on this. It drives me mad!! Haha

When Charlie consented for her child to be shown on TV I highly doubt she imagined this scenario! It's not like she would have signed a permission slip specifically for them to put her daughter behind a door and be used in the game like this. I thought she handled it with grace, I would have gone mad!

If she didn't give her permission beforehand how did she know for sure it was her daughter and not her mother.
