No, not that I remember. I am certain it's all a load of hoohah - they wouldn't do that to such a young child.

You don't think that, do you? Because you are not actually mad.”

The adults taking care and being responsible for the kids knew exactly what was going to happen, and they agreed to it, is all what I am saying. The producers didn't force anything to happen, and they weren't cruel to anyone, is all.
There is no need for "The poor child, or poor Eric/Charlie" attitude, when the children's guardians agreed to all of this.

What, exactly, ARE you saying? That both Eric and Charlie were told the details of the task in advance, and both agreed to pretend that they were hoping for a pizza instead of seeing their children? Or what?

I thought my sentence was very clear. The adults who are responsible for the minor children were informed what was going to happen, and they agreed to it.

Just saying.”

she may have signed a contract to allow it (without knowing the exact details) - but allowing her child to be used in some way - otherwise she wouldn't have been allowed on TV at all

No, still not clear. By 'the adults', do you mean Eric and Charlie or the adults who are looking after their children? and by 'informed what was going to happen' do you mean 'told that the children would be hiding behind a door' or 'told that the children might appear in some shots'?

Excactly how do you know that Kiki was on the programme WITH Charlies permission? You don't of course. Watch the programme back. Charlie clearly had no idea that her daughter was behind a door, her reaction to losing was one of disappointment of losing out on a treat nothing more, nothing less. Eric was probably as upset, but the editing focused on Charlies understandable reaction.

she may have known her daughter could be used in this fashion - she just didnt know it was at that actual trial and the shock reaction would still have happened

Used in what fashion? Do you think Charlie would have given her permission to do the other trials? Get real.

Children simply cannot appear on TV shows without parental consent.

There is no doubt at all that whoever is responsible for Kiki and Eric's children at present will have given permission for them to do the trial; no doubt they were close by all the time and ready to give hugs and reassurance if the children were a bit disappointed. There. Happy now?

Of course.

I just want to point out, that I didn't think it was wrong to have the kids on the show, they must be having the time of their lives. I started this thread, because of the "Poor children, that was so cruel" threads. Nothing cruel happened to the kids, this is just a cool experience for them.

Exactly. I'm sure they would have explained to the child that she'll see her mum on the TV, and her mum MIGHT open the right door, but she might not. Kiki knows that her mummy's fine, she's only a few hundred yards away at all times, and she'll see her for definite in a few days. Shouldn't be a problem for her, especially with Granny there as well.

The Daily Mail:

Quote:
“an ITV spokesperson explained both Kiki and her grandmother - who gave permission for the youngster to take part in the task - were 'fully briefed' on how the game would work.

A spokesperson for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! told MailOnline: 'The permission came from Kiki's grandmother [Charlie's mother], who was with Kiki the whole time.

'They were both fully briefed on how the game would work and were both happy to take part. A senior producer saw them both afterwards and they were fine.

'Kiki and her grandma come to the jungle every day with the other friends and family, so actually the experience wasn't as out of the ordinary as it might look.'”
