Jordan was the worlds best ever basketball player, late eighties/early 90s.

Frankie found fame on Xfactor, and likes to snort cocaine.

Stop moaning, who do you expect in the jungle - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt?

You mean mostly ex celebrities. Helen, Brian, Lemahl, Eric, Charlie, Linda, Colin. Then you have not a celebrity Nadine.

In fact Hugo, Ashley and to a lesser extent, David are the only real celebs - and even this pushing it a bit.

Didn't even know he was dead. Shame, loved Slumdog Millionaire.

Maybe 30 years ago he hasn't been relevant since the mid 80's

I admit I have not heard of most of them to me the biggest 2 were Colin and Linda as I am a fan of their shows.

I have not heard of Ashley but have heard of the Pussycat Dolls (But I don't know the names of most people in pop groups hell if I have heard of the group that's good)

Hugo to me is akin to Mark Wright, I'd never heard of him before last years show?.....Ashleigh is another one, I'd heard of Nicole and Kimberley, I'd not heard the name Nadine Dories either?

Sometimes IACGMOOH makes a celeb rather than features one

Poor old Nadine. You could hardly find an MP with more of a taste for self-publicity.

For some reason I don't remember Colin Baker at all, but remember Tom Baker perfectly.

To be fair apart from Trail Of A Time Lord his run as The Doctor was pretty bad as at the time Doctor Who was declining in popularity and apart from that one story the rest of them pretty much sucked (not his fault he worked the best with the rubbish he was given)

I must be subconsciously politically aware, I recall hearing about her reform policies on abortion but had no idea who was proposing them?

I admit to getting my Baker boys mixed up initially, possibly because Tom appears to me as the most likely looking Dr?

I'm from Australia, I didn't really know who any of them were except Linda (and vaguely knew Colin and Charlie by name). But that's the same as every year, it doesn't really change the enjoyment of the show for me. I just look them up, read a bit about them, enjoy the show and if I see them on another show, I'll feel like I know them.

I had heard of them all apart from Hugo, Helen and Ashley [though I have heard of the Pussycat Dolls]. That doesn't mean they're not celebrities though.
Successful, A list celebrities are never going to do shows like this. If they really had to do reality TV then strictly come dancing/Dancing with the stars would probably be their 1st choice.
Deal with it.

I dunno, if ITV were giving like £1,000,000 to a charity of the winners choice or something really PR impacting I bet there would be some takers.

Didn't this start off as a charity show I'm sure I recall some early ones saying thy only were in for the charity and once one said that they shouldn't be moaning about the amount food as the people they are doing this for don't see that much food in a month.

The name Charlie Brooks is more synonymous with Rebekkah Brooks horse trainer husband whose been in the news a lot over the past 12 months. That could be why you recognise the name?

Ah, that Jordan. Magic Jordan. Yes, I have heard of him right enough.

I think the 1st 2 were for charity, though the celebrities may have been paid as well. CBB was also initially done for charity.

Not sure now, but my point was, if there was something significantly honorable about it, it wouldn't be that hard to get A or B listers to jump on and do it.

ETA: I mean to the extent of donating a shit load of money (7 digit figure) to Africa would get A listers because it would be really good PR and the kind of thing/attention certain A and B listers thrive on.

I still don't see it happening, TBH. ITV couldn't/ wouldn't put up that sort of money, and the stars would probably want to make it their event if they had that kind of celebrity status.
Plus, it's still 3 weeks out of their life, which they probably could be filling with paid employment of a much more enjoyable nature.
Though perhaps some may want to do a guest appearance of some kind, perhaps for a day or two.

I agree that they would be more likely to want to take part.

No I don't think ITV would do it, I was just playing devils advocate and saying, if the prize was right (not just personal value) then they would. They wouldn't have them clamouring, but they could get 6-10 A/B listers if the terms were right.

Is David Haye not 'a-list'?? He was a heavyweight boxing champion only last year.

Eric is not an ex celeb,he is still a big name in the darts industry and a regular presenter on Sky sports.
