Does anyone know when it is they do it every year the trail where this like a big wind machine and they have get the stars while getting wet I thought it was the top 5 that do iy but only Ashley and Charlie are meant to be doing a trail today.

I thought it was when they are at 4... but Im not an avid follower.

I do enjoy the 'its a knockout' style stuff. far better than eating vile nonsense and getting covered in critters

it's the top 4 usually, it's called celebrity cyclone, it looks like great fun

I love that last water trial with those giant blowers. This year the trials have all looked a bit penny pinching.
Remember Joe Pasquali and the helicopter challenge and Carol Thatcher in that high wire buggy?

Is Charlie doing a trial today.I like her but I'd say it's about time she does another one

It's the last 4 normally.

I have to admit I was wondering what would happen if Rosemary got that far as I can't imagine her even being able to get to the first point. I reckon they would have to have modified the trial for her and not have so much wind or water on her.

Woo hoo.Airtime for amazing Charlie I like her but had been somewhat disappointed she hadn't been more gutsy and done more trials so this is good news indeed. Do you know what trial they're doing.

Couldn't agree more. Be good to see more physically .. even intellectually! ... challenging stuff. I really liked them having to break world records

On ITV2 last time it's where one of them stands in the middle of a contraption with different bugs and stars in it and they have to answer questions and the other one gets dunged in a big tank if they get it wrong. Or something like that

That sounds rubbish.

The oldies have mangaed this trial well over the years, getting to star 1 & 2 although Kim the cleaner woman was exempt from it the other year

I think it's more about the ever-increasing, tedious reliance on "joon-GAL critt-AZ" (© A. McPartlin) than any penny pinching.

I MUCH prefer the trials which are physical and/or mental, not the endless procession of 'joon-GAL critt-AZ', which has become really, really boring now.

Cannon and Ball balancing that contraption on the high wire ("Von, Von, Von...") and Joe Swash crapping himself while climbing that mast are also highlights from previous series...

They even managed to spoil an otherwise entertaining high wire challenge for David Haye (the aeroplanes one) in this series, by just having to involve 'joon-GAL critt-AZ'

I wonder if they decided to have (comparatively) safer and cheaper trials this year due to the large number of older contestants

In previous years older constestants were reguarly made immune from voting on the BTTs on unspecified "medical grounds" but this year it only happened once, with Colin and Rosemary (on the Savage Sewer trial that Hugo did)
