Just got a new Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Everything is awesome! Except this..All my texts send fine, and I receive them fine. But, one of my friends, for some reason, from her iPhone, whenever she sends me a text, it is always delayed..Always takes 20-45 minutes or even four hours a few times to come through. Never had a problem with texts coming from her phone on my old one. As far as I know, she is the only contact I have who I have problems receiving text messages from, all my other contacts seem to be fine as far as I know. Likewise, her phone does not have any problems sending text messages and no one else she texts has problems receiving them. Is there just some kind of conflict here between our two phones?
How do I fix this? Why are the messages from this one number being delayed?
I'm on EE and she is on Network 3 (I think).

Oh, and one more problem..When I downloaded all my music onto my phone, for some reason, the music came downloaded with a picture of one of my friends and not the actual artist it came with. Any ideas with that one too? Seemed a bit weird the way it randomly changed when it was copied onto my phone.

Thanks; any help or comments much appreciated

That sounds weird, but maybe it's something at network level, in which case I'm not sure you could do much about it.

Maybe you could both try the 'WhatsApp' app and message each other that way and see if that's instant?

Sending messages over Messenger so via the data connection works fine. Just actual text messages take ages to come through..Could it not be the SIM card or anything? The phone? Just seems so weird..Could it not be some network settings somewhere?

Okay, so I spoke to EE.
Did what he said.
Put the MicroSIM in another phone and see if the same problem happened with this particular number. In the other phone, the texts came through straight away. So, I switched the SIM back and on my new phone they came through straight away. And now they have stopped working again completely. Does this mean the problem is with the phone then?

What kind of random fault is that..Can't receive texts on time from one or two numbers, wtf?

Any other ideas as to what the problem is?

I switched from the HTC Sensation to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, however, the number I'm having the problem with receiving text messages from is an iPhone. I'll give it a read anyway. The guy from EE asked me if I had tried the switching on and off thing and obviously I had, he then told me that I could try taking the battery out while the phone was on, leave it for two minutes and then try again to see if that did anything. The guy was very honest and said, this is just what the computer is telling me, I doubt it'd do anything and although unlikely it could damage your phone so we never bothered and he transferred me over to network support. Would it be worth trying that anyway though do you think?

I think I'm going to ask my friend to try and text me from a non-iPhone device and see if that makes any difference, I'll let you know what happens.

Okay, this made a difference to start with. But after a few messages back and forth the exact same problem has occured. We decided I'm going to request a new SIM tomorrow, then I'll request a new phone if that doesn't work.

I am having the same issues. Texts to and from my wife and my sister-in-law (both on the Three network) are very slow - up to 6 hours. Every now and then one or two go through straight away and I think its fixed then it goes back. Texts to other people on other networks are absolutely fine.

I have contacted EE support, both over the phone and via Twitter and have had responses that it must be Three and so nothing we can do and that "texts can take up to 72 hours", neither of which are very helpful.

Neither of the recipients are on iPhones or ever have been (one is a Nokia 910 and one an HTC Desire HD)

Any views?

Thanks
