NOW TV launches today on ROKU
NOW TV has launched this morning on the Roku.
Signed up and seems to be working well so far. Even Live Movies option works which I think the Youview box did have a problem with? Good times

Good times ![]() i'm on the months free trial so effectively have free sky movies over Xmas i just hope the sports and sky tv also get added to the service soon. i mostly use my rokus for plex and iplayer but the now tv interface is much nicer than both IMO. |

Mattster1 how you finding the Roku? I've ordered one and waiting for it to be delivered. I went with the LT, just worried that 720 might not be good enough for a 40" TV. Looks of people seem to mention Plex, what does it enable you to do exactly? Someone on a Netflix post mentioned they used it for 4OD? BTW, good to hear that NOW TV works well, going to do the free trial myself.

The lt will output 720p so will look fine on your 40 inch tv, you don't get the games on the lt but if that isn't why you are buying you will be fine. Plex is an app you can add via the roku channel store. Basically you need to install plex server on you pc and point the server to your media (films tv shows, music) if you have iTunes it should automatically add this into the plex app on the roku also, you can the view all your shared home media on the roku along with film descriptions etc. Iplayer is great on the roku as is tune in radio. It's missing 4od and lovefilm but these are supposed to be released soon. Now tv is great and signing up to the trial gives you free sky movies over Christmas. Bargain! If you accept the limitations of the roku and work around them such as plex to view home media then roku is ace. |
