This years trials
Halfway
28-11-2012
In a few threads FMs have made comments that the trials this year haven't been all that good, but on thinking about it - we didn't really get to see the first five because Helen bottled out of them. And that's why they brought back the house one for David to do. The plane was excellent - not many could have coped so well with that; and the challenge set for Eric was also good; as was the one that Helen did eventually manage to complete in order to win 12 stars; and also that trial in the train was good. No - I have to disagree about comments against the trials as we don't really know what the others that Helen didn't do would have presented.

I've also enjoyed the other smaller bush tucker trials when they have to go off in twos. Seeing Rosemary in the bath last night and Hugo stuck up in the trees was hilarious. Also, watching Helen running down the hill over and again was fun as she looked totally out of her comfort zone.

The Dingo Dollar Challenges are so much more entertaining than the bloody Bush Tucker trials for one reason and one reason only - the obsession with 'joon-GAL critt-AZ' (© A. McPartlin) in the BTTs.

When will the producers realise that you can only see someone covered in / putting their hand in creepy-crawlies for so many times (like about twice) before it gets really, really tedious

I agree about the dingo dollars 'trials' being more fun to watch. Not only do we get Kiosk Keith thrown in, but it also kills me how the tasks seem to obviously take ages to complete (usually going dark by the time they've finished) and they end up wth half a dozen marshmallows or 1 chocolate-dipped strawberry each

...And they rejoice!

Less critters, more physical and/or brainpower tasks would improve it for me for sure.

BIB - I agree totally.

I do agree with the OP to an extent, we didn't really see a bunch of them but it does seem as though the trials aren't as good this year.

there is a certain amount of humour in the dingo dollar challenges which is missing in the main BTTs. My fav BTT is the one where they have to carry stars up a slippery plastic sheet whilst a water canon is shot at them. I hope they do that this year.

I also enjoyed the inexplicable bizare BTT where wayne sleep had to crawl through a rat tunnel covered in waffles!
