Totally management-speak but am I the only person who sniggered when I read this line?

"Pete is a good father - everyone knows he loves our Children..."
No, the bit that made me snigger was this;
What I won't do is get dragged into a tit for tat argument with Pete about the children to be played out in public - they are old enough to read these things.
Vodka enema anyone?

Management put in words what the client wishes to express....and reading between the lines here, I'd say KP is attacking CAN here! And telling Pete to man up and be the father he's always telling us he is?

I know he has people around him that would want him to do an article running me down if I took up stamp collecting let alone get married quickly but I believe him to be a bigger man than that
Oooh handbags.

Yes: I have to admit; that is laughable.

I do disagree with the way that PA uses his kids in his shows; however, I don't doubt that he does love his kids. I don't doubt KP does either - but she's hardly offering them a stable, secure home life. At the very least, PA seems to offer a more balanced, secure environment.

Bookaddict, don't supposed many people posting here know Pete in person so we're all forming our impressions based on what we've seen/read. I wasn't much of a fan when he was with Kate as I agree his behaviour could be very crude at times but I've warmed to him since and just try to set out in my posts what the basis of my opinion is. I think most people have varied aspects to them which can be brought out by different relationships/situations. We want to tie down the 'real' person but it's a dynamic thing. Not suggesting he's a weak-willed victim, he made his choices at the time but I think he's made better choices since and has changed as a result of that.

What particularly makes me think there's more to him is that I can't imagine Emily falling for a self-absorbed, fame-hungry sleazebag. I can anticipate the 'she's being paid' comments but she's not an actress and her whole family strike me as having far too much integrity for that kind of caper.

As for Kate's statement, I very much hope Pete doesn't give an interview running her down, nothing in the press so far has come directly from him and perhaps he should tell his 'friends' to keep quiet too. I hope they can both stop the soap-opera, cancel the court cases and genuinely wish each other well for the future as that's what their children deserve.
Well, we don't agree on some points, and other points I can't comment on (I don't know much at all about Emily or her family), but I appreciate your response. I have never been a fan of Peter Andre or Katie Price, but I do agree that it would be better if they kept quiet, and dealt with matters concerning their children privately and out of the courts.

For the record, and to echo the poster above, I don't doubt that either PA or KP love their children. Unfortunately however, I also don't think that either of them behave in a way that is very good for the children.

Oh quite. An irony bypass. Walking the walk has never been KP's strong point.

No reading between the lines necessary. Plain as day!

Fair point Lexi and I'll promise to use the requisite number of eggs in future but it would be good to see people afford him a little credit when it's due and not immediately assume the worst of him
Sounds like a plan to me! Believe it or not but I share your frustration with the extreme take on these two.

After some more flicking through magazines (sorry newsagents!) I found a short article in Best* about how Pete proposed to Emily during their skiing break over the New Years hols and she accepted but that only friends and family have been told so far. No idea if true and if it is they might well delay announcing now.

Thanks for your responses Bookaddict and Lexi - I think there's probably plenty we agree on even if we find ourselves on different sides of the argument sometimes

* Well it definitely began with a B but could be Bella or Better or whatever!

Do you mean her breast or her new husband?

[quote=bookaddict;63766995]Well he is the one moaning publicly about her. Now I agree that this marriage is probably ill-advised (at best) and yes I do feel for the children) but clearly he wants to be on the cover of magazines, and he never misses an opportunity to turn a news story about KP into a news story about how it's affecting him and the children. I don't think splashing his concerns over all the trash rags is helping the children.

I'm betting his management have placed the story and then he's posted this to keep his good guy image and not 'rise to her level'.

Either the magazine have made up the quotes, or someone's telling porkies!

I don't think you need to give an interview but just feed the press a story.

Yes she said it. A 40 year old man is not in control of his life. Or is he. ummmmm! Isn't this what we debate all the time.

Magazine rings the management and asks for a quote. The management gives one off the record and it's a source.

If she wrote that, my name is Desmond Tutu!

It doesn't even sound like something she would say.

Good response she even awake of PA loves his kids!
A pathetic response from her you would have thought the stupid bint would have been way too loved up yet she appears to have spent an inordinate amount of time hammering away on twitter and making passive aggressive comments in "statements".
However it keeps her plastic mush in the papers, so all's good for her ,mission accomplished.
And as for telling the kids "why" she has dragged home yet another random stranger - I don't think so

I hope he ignores her and doesn't feed her attention seeking ways and just works quietly with his lawyers to get custody of those children.

Could have been via the same person who fed the Burngate pic to the press - someone who was neither Pete nor his management!
