Hi,
I have a 46 inch Samsung TV (Serial number LE46C652L2KXXU). I saw a Samsung Crystal Surround Air Track HW-E350 and thought that would be good for me.

The unit works properly through my Humax Freesat box which I have on HDM2, and, after I swap wires, it works through my old Panasonic VHS/DVD on HDM1.

The bit that doesn't work is from the TV itself to the track. I have tried using the red/white wires, but no sound comes through. I have seen some comments about ARC, but I don't think my TV has that.

How can I make a connection from the TV to the Track?

Any help appreciated. Thanks

There is only a headphone output as a readily accessible analogue audio output on the TV. If you used a phono to phono lead to connect the soundbar then the only sockets that would match on the TV are all inputs, so no use at all.

There is a digital audio out on the TV and as far as I can tell a digital audio in on the soundbar, both optical. So a simple optical lead between the two would do the job.

Thanks chrisjr. The track has an HDMI out jack, an HDMI in jack, and an AUX IN. Does an Optical lead fit any of these?

The HW-D350 has the digital in but the HW-E350 doesn't so it's no good getting an optical lead. It doesn't seem that the Samsung LE46C652 supports ARC either. It says in the specs that that the soundbar has an audio in, so just connect that to the headphone out on the TV. Soundbar specs here: http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/t...W-E350/XU-spec

I thought I'd posted a reply saying much the same but looks like it got lost somewhere.

As I was posting my first reply Bill1952 edited the OP to add the model number so I was going on just the Samsung Crystal Surround Air Track.

Anyway. It looks like the only options available are the headphone socket on the TV or a SCART to phono adapter plug. The headphone socket requires a 3.5mm stereo jack to 3.5mm stereo jack lead. A SCART adapter can be used with the existing Aux lead for the soundbar.

Set switch to OUT.

The SCART adapter requires a SCART socket on the TV wired for output.
