i have just got this mobile, a month ago, and it seems that when it is fully switched off [and presumably also if the battery is discharged] that incoming phone call and texts are not received ? Can anybody shed any light please ?

How do you expect it to receive calls and texts when switched off?

when you switch it back on again, the calls don't come through - they have disappeared so I can't see if anyone has phoned me when the phone has been switched off and/or the battery has been discharged

1471 on Vodafone and O2 will get you the last caller but if you're worried about missing calls set up voicemail.

That service was discontinued a few years ago on O2. I think on Vodafone it was accessed differently.
Edit - I see the difference, *#147# displays it as text, 1471 as a voice call. |

My last phone [with o2] told me who called me when the phone was switched off, it also "held" texts too [which this phone won't do either] Very puzzled and wondering why companies have stopped doing this ???????? |

The phone can't do any of that when switched off. So it's the network.
The texts will be sent to the phone when it registers back to the network. Never heard of any phone being told from the network that its had phone calls though. |

I phoned my mate last night after he switched his phone off ie powered off, when he powered it back on again he got a text to say he had missed a call . Is this so difficult ? Maybe it is an o2 problem ? |
