But not a very cleverly disguised one, as most have seen through it

Your better off donating to oxfam than buying the band aid single.

Because its crap

At least if you just give the money directly, you wont have to worry about how your going to get rid of that record, in case somone sees it in your cd collection

Simon Cowell invest in Britain his group of Companies employ 1000's of British people the Record sales boost UK Business and benefits millions of us, alternatively the Band Aid bull by the time it gets to Africa is about the equivlent of 4p per cd sold after admisistration costs, Even if 4p could do anything is it not time We started looking after our own people and our own Children there is enough poverty and needy in the UK its time to look after them because the way things are going it will be us that ends up as a 3rd world Country.
That my bit for today
I would not even waste my time downloading Crap Aid for free off limewire etc!

This is pure BS. Band aid raised £110m and raises £250k more every year through live events.

Whoever dreamt up this idea that supporting charities is an either or situation is a complete idiot. Its not. You buy one thing because you like it and the other because its a nice thing to do.

Some people need to wake up and smell the coffee. Its more likely to have environment change and enter the ice age than it is we will ever see hardship such as that in Africa.

Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you?

thats not a nice thing to say.

the only thing, i dont think there is enough done in our country though.
it cost only £2 a month for the nspcc, but they want more to help animals.
so my money goes to the nspcc, and i do buy most charity records.

I bought the Band Aid 20 single on Tuesday - Dan Hawkins of The Darkness was standing at the record counter in our local Woolies so I needed an excuse to get a bit closer

I downloaded Steve's single last weekend but I may just buy the CD too !

Well i could make an effort to summon up some fake sympathy , like millions of other people do. But i prefer to be honest.

People are used to other people making the right motions towards the socially acceptable responses to these kinds of issues.

Its shocking when somone comes right out and admits they dont give a toss isint it ?

Do you think im the only one who dosent really care? Or just the only one with the balls to come out and say it ?

I'm not buying either, is that ok?

I hate this attitude that if you don't buy the Band Aid cd you're some sort of evil person afterall it's for charity. I don't like the new version & if I was really that fussed then I'd donate to the charity direct, I don't need a guilt trip to do so.

Luckily, people like this are in the very small minority.

Most people find it hard to watch others suffer without feeling sympathy and the desire to do something.

Its the reason that Band Aid raised £8m in its first year. Most people cant help caring, because its a natural human emotion.
