Considering the McQueens arrived in HO 6 years ago, they've been really lucky to still have the majority of the characters still on the show.

Out of all the remaining McQueens, how long do you think each character be there til?

Jacqui will be there for years to come
Mercedes has about a year left sadly (I love her)
John Paul will be there for about 2 years
Myra and Carmel have 5 years left in them
Theresa about 3 years also
Bart about 1 month

Myra and Carmel bring some comedy to the show and Myra inparticular show displays a typical mothering instinct that is not equal in all her children. So quite watchable

Jacqui is by far the best of the McQueens and if there is any justice, she will be last to leave. She is a brilliant actress and has shown that no matter what she has been scripted to do she does it with aplomb.

The rest are just fodder. Theresa: , Bart: Has gone from bad to worse and should be axed, Nana, funny but only brought in for SL moments. I am not talking Carmel, Barney here, I am talking about her intervention in the Mercedes stabbing case.

Mercedes has taken up too much screen time. But she stays and continues to do so. IMO

I am glad Michaela has gone. she was okay before, but pretty much a waste of space since her return.

JP? I don't know. BK seems to like him so will have to watch this space and see if he is written well.

Myra has a ton of sisters doesn't she? I can see the McQueens sticking around for at least another three years

Years. I think that they will keep bringing in extended family to fill any voids like they did with Theresa and Bart.

As long as Claire Cooper, Jennifer Metcalfe and Gemma Merna decide to stay put, then the McQueens will continue to play a central role in the show. When the three girls leave, I doubt whether members of their extended family will be brought into the show. Let's face it, Bart and Theresa aren't exactly viewers' favourites, so I doubt other members of the family would be as successful as Jacqui, Carmel and Mercy.

I agree with this, i would add Myra staying put as important too, she plays a huge role in the family. Maybe if Bryan Kirkwood made more McQueens they would be more succesful than Bart and Theresa, which wouldn't be hard to beat and if they cast good actors in the roles too, rather than Jorgie Porter who seems to be playing an exaggerated version of herself.

I think the family will be around for a while. I would say Myra, Carmel and Jacqui will be there the longest. Bart and Theresa are cousins and they each have thier comeuppance to catch them. Theresa needs to be punished for killing Calvin and Bart needs to be punished for his drug growing, using and drug driving which killed three of his friends and Rhys. Mercedes also needs to be punished for all the things she's done so i don't think she will be staying for much longer. When she leaves though it may work if she returned every so often for temporary visits etc. John Paul i am not sure about because it depends on what storylines they give him but i would agree with the two years thing and then he'll go again but could be the same with periodic temporary stays?

Michaela has already gone then returned as an extra and is now gone again. I found her return very poor. The Ibiza thing was good and then she wasn't seen again for months and when she was it was to do with that band. She was given rubbish storylines and never appeared with Amy who was supposed to be her best friend (except when Amy was leaving she was always around her but a bit late by then). If they had given Michaela something good which is what i thought they were bringing her back for then she may have lasted another 2-3 years. They also got her to act all ditsy and too much like Theresa and Liberty.
