Funny how it's the right wing gutter press that always pick up on these stories, normally to a chorus of 'PC GONE MAD!!' bleating from their readers.
I wonder if any of the Daily Mail readers have enough self awareness to understand the real reason the right wing press love to run with these stories? |

Could you imagine the uproar on here if it was Helen who said it.

OK, how about I, not being remotely religious, get offended over your use of the blasphemous term "goddamned" on behalf of Christians?
![]() Only thing is you completely miss the point. Twice. I take offense because I am as the brothers and sisters being set upon. They are humans and I am human. That is the commonality. I take personal offense. You make it a point to separate yourself from those you want to play at taking offense for -- what with you "not being remotely religious". So you see this is the first glaring error in your "logic"; you have missed a big part of my very clear message; you are already completely backwards. Your other big problem is in equating religiosity with the targets of bigotry being discussed here. Religiosity is a choice. If someone wants to persist in believing any of the various fairy-tales that the various religions are selling, that's their choice. You have to really resist thinking about things to persist in maintain "faith" in any of these divisive and otherwise insidious fairy-tales. Yer goddamned right you do, get it? So, sure, you can take offense for "them" if you want to... it doesn't speak to what I have said, but, as I say... Go right ahead. |

If the answer is no then that's the end of the matter. I dont see anyone supporting racism on here I do see people defending the use of a quite common term of endearment used by someone to someone they were clearly fond of and it has absolutly nothing to do with skin colour. Did Rosemary ever display any characteristics of being a racist in the jungle? No, did Rosemary ever come across a bigot? No ( a bit annoying but not a bigot) I use it quite often and the use of it has nothing to do with ethnicity, I also call people duck is that racist? The point is by getting all "offended" by innocent remarks you actually make race an issue in situations where it wasn't until people started jumping up and down being "offended". Save your offence for when it involves something real not something made up because to do otherwise dilutes the arguments and allows those who do have racist attitudes to cry "PC gone mad" which immediately lessens the impact of what you are saying. Remember the story of the little boy who cried wolf, well there is a real danger in this country that unacceptable behaviours and attitudes are going to enjoy a resurgence precisely because some people jump on everything to get offended by |

![]() I respond to each person I have an argument with and their quotes that I quote specifically. Go read what I have written here. See if I am not plenty ahead of you. And, then, if you want you can meet me back here. |

Confirmed in a statement from David hayes today in the THE PEOPLE "Rosemary was not being racist she was praising me on my physique!...case over as far I am concerned..the do gooders who pick up on every little detail need to calm down and stop creating racist situations...there is enough real racism to deal with without making issues up!

If someone resembles a monkey why are we not allowed to say so, although this is only the case if the person happens to be black.
Wayne Rooney, Emille Heskey and Shaun WrightPhillips have been compared to various primates, but it is only deemed acceptable to voice these comparisons about Mr Rooney. |

So has nobody ever called someone "a little monkey" - either because they're mischievous, funny or just plain irresistible - all of which apply to the adorable Mr. Haye.
