I would have thought a "powerfull" woman like sharon would have been able to put Steve in his place right there and then when it happened.

Rather than wait for when the format of the show dictated that steve had to stand there and shutup and wait for sharon to finish spewing.

Obviously this was somthing that Sharon was still bitter about from previously.

The difference's between the Jon/Simon thing was that a] jon had a go at simon on air, and b]simion didnt loose his composure.

Sharon came across as weak and bitter.

Her rant at steve wasnt even that insulting. It goes to show that when deprived of her 4 letter words , sharon isint much of a verbal sparring partner at all

If you look back at the footage of Sharon during the auditions youll see that she that when auditionee's insulted her, she almost always used to wait untill they were out of the room or walking away down that corridoor before she made one of her cutting comments.

A good example would be the girl she was calling a tart, after she insulted ozzy.

Nobody minded Sharon or Louis criticising Steve's performances.If they didn't like him then they had every right to say he was an good but average singer if that's what they thought.

It probably also started off partly as a joke to put down Steve's acts.

The comments however became more and more personal.
They started with little ones like he hadn't dressed up for hisperformance when Tabby had been wearing a t shirt. It moved on to being overconfident and that being that way wasn't very nice as Louis said. Then there was the Fred West comments.

Then the real biggies started.Sharon bringing in Steve's girlfriend was inexcusable annd as to being fake,well what exactly is being fake?Aren't all people going to try to show their best side when on show.

Whether Steve showed her the respect she thought she was due or not doesn't really matter.She was totally unprofessional in her outburst.

I'm not saying this because I like Steve's music ,I would feel like this if any of the contestants had been spoken to like that.

I think he was so fed up with her and Louis' personal put downs that he probabably did roll his eyes and said that.

Jon from G4 was applauded by a lot of people because he spoke up to Simon just for sitting on the fence.Would he have taken personal insults ?I don't think so.

And in any case do you really imagine that all the pop stars of today are all really nice? They don't have to be.They are judged ontheir own music. Some of the most famous in the world have been in prison for serious offences.

Steve rolls his eyes and it is the crime of the century!

Well they do need the smallest thing, to nitpick Steve for. I find it quite funny, the smallest things are being disjointed about Steve's character, and twisted way out of proportion, just so some can have a go Some of the posts are so laughable at the moment

If you look at the posting history of the people in this thread that are defeding sharon you'll see they are all pretty big G4 Fans..

Surely not! I thought they were all as neutral as pure water and "have nothing against Steve".

The silly thing about all this is that hardly any one of Steve's supporters have started threads against either G4 or Tabby.
I can't believe that there are people who have allowed Sharon and Louis to put the seeds of doubt about Steve into their minds. That appears to me to be exactly what they set out to do.
Surely all of us can think for ourselves.

I don't think the seeds of doubt have been put in many heads. I think some of the bitterer fan's on this site and not all of them mind you, are the Tabby and G4 fan's, and this is the latest convienient excuse they are using to bash Steve.

G4 and Tabby, and Steve were the last three in the X Factor, and some of G4's and Tabby's fan's can't and won't eccept Steve was way more popular with the public than either of the other acts, and Steve beat their favouites.

It doesn't seem to matter just how much factual evidence is presented to expose Sharon and Louis' opinions of Steve as being complete BS, as some people will continue to believe the bitter ramblings of 2 fake biased losers with no evidence to back up their hateful comments of him no matter what. "I thought there was something suspicious about him" is the only scrap of evidence ever used.

I do wonder if all the Sharon worshippers would be quite so approving of her venom if she had made personal comments and racist remarks to their favourite, insulted the family members of their favourite, ruined what should have been one of the most momentous nights of their life, and tried to ruin their career due to a personal vendetta against them. "Speaking her mind" is no excuse. "Speaking your mind" does not excuse outright nastiness.

I have to take exception to that. I'm a Tabby fan and am in no way bitter. I advocated from the beginning that Steve would win this show based on his singing style, demeanour and the voting pattern displayed in other reality talent competitions. My opinion is that winning is not particularly important in the long term scheme of things. He has the guarantee of a record deal and subsequent marketing but no guarantee of success. Success rests on what he produces from here on in the way of convincing original material. The competition was a showcase only and too much relevance has been placed on winning rather than asking "where is this act actually going". IMO of course.

Woman! I have had read the whole thread, and if nothing is known for sure, then that is flimsey evidence. It is not so much a discussion as yet another reason to have a bash at Steve. It might have been intended ( and I use the word intended loosely here ) to be a disscussion, but has become an open invitation for all the Sharon lovers and Steve bashers to have a go.

Its rather tiresome, I dont love or hate any of them however all this discussion board is always poor Steve this that.
