Nice Rebel Heart Extra. But I would like to have Alone with You and Trust No Bitch on there! I would take off Back it Up since I personally don't like Pharell too much and also Autotune Baby. The crying baby does my head in!

Lol! The crying baby bit just cracks me up! I am glad though that the UK version of Rebel Heart doesn't have it as the final track after the song Rebel Heart. To me that would totally undermine the flow of the record. If Rebel Heart is meant to be the last song, then make it the last song!

I have "Alone With You" on another disc as it follows "Across The Sky" really well. I'm not overly struck on Trust No Bitch. I like Take A Day but it sounds virtually the same as Pharrell Williams' "Happy".

Love that comment on the previous page about Promise To Try. I really wish it had been a single instead of Oh Father.

Promise to Try is indeed a very raw, yet emotional tribute to her mother. Her vocals are exquisite on that song. I absolutely adore Till Death Us Do Part that precedes it though.

review for 'rebel heart' are ranging from mixed to good. I am so pleased with the positivity from media outlets such as daily mail.

I stand by my decision that this album should have been a 12 track release....

to receive a higher critical acclaim and appreciation

an additional album could have been released after 6 months with bonus tracks...

yes ....XXXXXX... i could list a 12 track album despite that it would be difficult...

3. devil pray
4. living for love
5. illumiati
6. iconic
7. hold tight
8. ghosttown
9. wash all over me
10. heartbreak city
11. inside out
12. messiah

additional songs released 6 months later :

13. Beautiful scars
14. S.E.X (ft MIA)
15. Best Night (ft Prince)
16. Graffiti heart (ft Pink)
17. Holy water
18. Body shop (ft Janet Jackson)
19. Unapologetic Bitch

23 years later and Erotica is still absolutely stunning. If this album was released tomorrow it would still sound relevant. Can't believe what a fabulously consistent album this is. I absolute love it. That is why it is my favourite Madonna album of all time. 5/5.

Interesting. All of us Madonna fans have such different taste. I love Bad Girl but Erotica isn't my all time favourite. My 5/5 albums are still Like A Prayer and Ray of Light.

As of today, just for a while, Rebel Heart will be my favourite. In a month or two I will re-evaluate and possibly/probably decide it will be Erotica again. Ray of Light is an earthy album, superb when it first came out, but I really have to be in the mood to listen to it. I can understand why it is regarded as one of her best though. It always has a middling placing from me when I rank it.

I think in terms in creativity then American Life, Like A Prayer, Ray Of Light, Music and Erotica are her best bodies of work. Confessions maybe could slot into there as well.

In terms of fun pop albums then The First Album, True Blue, Confessions and Rebel Heart are her best. I think The Immaculate Collection gets a special mention here too even tho its a greatest hits I think many always viewed it as a big hit album hence its incredible sales.

MDNA never felt like Madonna to me and I'm still doubtful about just how much input she really had into that record. Hard Candy is my least fave Madonna album ever. It really did feel like for the first time in her career she bandwagon jumped rather than led the way.

Confessions is my favourite Madonna album, from start to finish a euphoric, enjoyable listen, when it first came out I thought it was so cool how every song segued into the next, I'd never heard an album like that before. (I was only 12 lol)

I'm starting to feel really sorry for the Kylie fans who keep having to post her sales over and over in every Madonna thread in an attempt to make themselves feel secure about Kylie's success. At the end of the day they can post as many long winded posts as they want but it won't change the fact that Madonna is the biggest selling female artist of all time. The only person who stands a chance at overtaking her is Rihanna. Kylie is of no threat to Madonna.

You Can Dance is done the same way but that's a remix album.

Its very tiresome but I don't think we should be baiting them either. If they are bothered so much by Madonna having the Queen Of Pop status then they just have to deal with it. When all comes to all its Madonna who is regarded music's biggest selling female and her influence goes beyond chart stats and sales figures.

Rihanna will never get close to selling 200 million albums like Madonna, her sales have been helped by digital singles. Even if Rihanna does overtake Madonna's record sales she'll never get close to her impact or legacy. Let's put it is way, Rihanna is 10 years into her career- by that stage Madonna had already gone from Everybody to Erotica which is a massive leap, not to mention all the different musicals styles and image changes she embraced during that period.

Over and Over, into Into The Groove and finishing with that awesome version of Where's The Party is one of the best trio of songs on any album ever!

I think that Rebel Heart is kind of balance between fun and creative deeper stuff. It's more serious than the First Album. True Blue and Confessions. In some ways, it's like Music in its very eclectic sound and mix of fun and serious stuff. I think Music is kind of underrated. I disliked HC when I first got it, but it grows on you. I think all of her albums are very Madonna. They're just different. I like Rebel Heart better than MDNA and HC but I still like them.

I like Confessions but it's not my favourite. The songs are too much in the same genre for me. I like the more varied sound of Rebel Heart. I don't like how the songs segue into each other. I tend to listen to albums all the way through only a few times and then play them on random with other artists or make playlists. The mixed together messes that up for me.

Aaah, well that's fair enough, for me I enjoy listening to an album as a whole as I feel I get the fullest listening experience and understanding of an album that way.

I get a different vibe with Confessions. It starts off light and fluffy but ends up quite dark and serious. Forbidden Love is quite a dark song. It's initial meaning is that of a boy and a girl who are not allowed to be together, but it's deeper than that. I interpret it as a statement against homosexuality and a protest against people are prejudiced against each other in one way or another. Then of course, Isaac. Quite simply a superb and creative way to bring vocals and instrumentation together. Everything, including the kitchen sink, is thrown at that song and at over 5 minutes long, it is one of the stand out tracks on the album. Finally, Like It Or Not is a wonderfully cynical Madonna sticking her finger up at her detractors. I love Confessions. It is something I listen to from start to finish, as I do with all Madonna albums. I personally feel that each of her albums are so strong, even her bad ones, that it is needed to be heard in its entirety when you play one.

I do agree with you, I wish the songs on Confessions weren't segued together. There is a version where they're not, but it is incredibly hard to come by and probably, really expensive!

If have Google Play and upload the album it should replace it with the version where the songs aren't merged. I discovered this after uploading my entire library of music to Play; it automatically identifies the songs and gives you versions from their servers. When I uploaded Confessions it recognised it as the non merged version and gave me that one. I was pretty gutted because I love how the album flows.
