Can't wait for the actual concert next Saturday! There are rumours flying around that both Melbourne shows will be filmed so fingers crossed. Kylie is indeed in town at the moment but not sure if she will be at the concert. Another possibility is Kelly Osbourne who is in town judging OZ Got Talent.

Her shows in New Zealand went really well. Apparently, it was her first time there and the crowd went wild for her. On one night, the surprise acoustic song was Don't Tell Me and the next night it was LAP.

I sure hope she sings LAP for you Australians. It's my all time favorite song by any artist. No matter how many times she sings it, it never gets old for me!

I wonder if this Rocco thing will effect Madonna's career plan going forward. I wouldn't be surprised if it does so I think we might see an end to her being so overly sexual suggestive now. Its very odd seeing her lose it in public. My take is that she didn't realize the effect her sexual actions was having on him, you can tell just from watching the video how really hurt she is. I've never known her be like this. She never lets her guard down. Its also clear from the video they aren't even talking and haven't done for a while. Its a sad situation.

What is interesting is that despite Madonna's level of fame she has never suffered a breakdown or turned to drugs. So it seems so utterly tragic that her 15 year old son is the victim suffering at the hands of her fame.

I do feel for Rocco. He is a teenage boy so having to put up with your mother being called an 'old slapper' and 'an old slut trying to be young' must have had a real effect on him. Its no surprise he has tried to run away from it all and doesn't want to return to school in New York. Kids can be brutal. I hope the kids in the UK treat him better.

There is no evidence that the sexual things Madonna does on stage has anything to do with the issues with Rocco. She is not going to stop being Madonna.
And I don't think what the media says about his mother has that much to do with it either or that kids pick on him in school about his mother.
If anything it's the opposite. Madonna is a pretty strict mother and has certain rules about how she wants her kids to behave, study, not watch too much tv.
I don't see the issue with her son have anything to do with her being famous or what she does on stage. It seems to be the normal teenage rebellion that we all went through in breaking away from our parents. I think they would have the same issues even if Madonna worked in an office.
I read that he wants to be in London because that's where more his friends live not that kids were picking on him.
Let's face it, kids his age don't spend much time thinking about Madonna one way or the other. They are more into current younger stars like Taylor Swift, so I really don't think that is the issue.
Maybe this wasn't your intention, but it seems to me you are blaming Madonna for the situation and saying her sexual persona is somehow to blame for the issues with her son. She has been doing the sexual things for years, and this issue with her son just came up in the last year or so so I don't think that's the issue.

I never read that but then I don't read all the tabloids. When he got in a fight with Madonna, he wasn't in a school though, but was home schooled with a private tutor, he was on tour with her and apparently he didn't like being on tour and on the road so that doesn't make sense.

Kids are the same all over the world. Bullying is something that goes on in a lot of schools. So if what you say is true, why wouldn't he be bullied in school in London too since I"m sure people here have heard of Madonna too.

You say don't be defensive, but you basically put the blame on Madonna saying her sexual persona is the problem. Frankly, I'm tired of people always blaming the mother and going by what Guy Ritchie says. The coverage of this whole custody thing is so one sided.

Hardly had any sleep and still buzzing from last night's show.

I was totally blown away. My 5th M's concert and possibly the most enjoyable. She came on stage at 9.40pm very early by her standard! The Melbourne crowd was amazing, everyone was up on their feet dancing and reacting to her, "fcuk fcuk fcuk yeah" soon became the crowd's answer to her when prompted by the queen LOL

The production itself was super sleek, once again the set transforms so seamlessly and the visuals were spectacular. She didn't dance as much as her previous tours but she sounded amazing, mostly live vocals throughout, and her interactions with the crowd was spontaneous, funny and genuine. Her shout out to Molly Meldrum was very touching, thanking him for “being the first man in Australia to fall in love with me.” She dedicated Take A Bow to him. I would have liked Like A Prayer but it was a special moment for Molly so it was sweet and I have not seen her performed TAB live before so it was great!

She also apologies for the rough Tears of a Clown show and said it would be better next time. Bless.

She didn't have to apologize for the Tears of the Clown show. Her vocals on it were actually great. There were some minor technical issues with starting some of the songs. It was so great that she did so many rare tracks. It's amazing she did practically a whole different set list. I think it's amazing she went out of her comfort zone to do a less programmed rehearsed show for her fans. Obviously, there were some issues since she's in the middle of a tour and so she doesn't have much time to rehearse the other show, but I love the videos I've seen.

In the future, she could expand it by doing even more different rare songs. One thing I often find frustrating not just with Madonna but with all my favourite artists, is at their concerts they tend to only do a limited number of songs repeatedly and there are so many great songs from their back catalogue that never get performed. I totally get that at a large venue with casual fans, you have to do hits ,not obscure songs that most people won't know, but for a hard core fan it can be frustrating at times. The small show is a way around that.

Madonna still innovating! She's one of the few artists that can do a large scale production concert and a stripped down thing and it be equally fantastic.
I hope she does more with the Tears of the Clown thing. I would love to see that one day!

I think it's time I stopped reading those other Madonna threads. I have never come across such a bunch of spiteful, nasty and vindictive people in all my life. The way they talk about Madonna is revolting. I'm going to have to take time out from DS for a while otherwise i'll blow up.

It upsets me as well. But I guess the good thing is people are still talking about her and interested in her. Most other artists from the 80's who started out at the same time, people don't even bother discussing anymore.

But I do find it annoying that when other older artists have problems or even do very terrible things like commit violent crimes, people are very quick to be sympathetic and say everyone makes mistakes etc,, but for Madonna there's rarely any sympathy or understanding.

I guess they can't stand it that she has been going and going since the 80's and have never really stopped or had any kind of breakdown. I think some people wish she would have a breakdown to make them feel better about their own mistakes or something.

The last two shows are in Sydney this weekend and they are being filmed for the DVD. I'm going to be sad. This has been a great era for us Madonna fans.
It's going to be quiet on the Madonna front after this for awhile, so I guess the haters will have to find another topic. But who is as fascinating as Madonna? LOL

I do think some of her behaviour has been very erratic and not very Madonna like at all but by the same token trolls are just using it as an excuse to beat her with. The fact they keep hurling age insults at her proves its the only angle they can now use which is a sad reflection on society. If people addressed genuine concerns about her mental health I would take the posts more serious but its just pure insults.

Racism, sexism and homophobia aren't acceptable, neither should ageism. I do think it says more about the people making the comments like that than it does Madonna herself.

It also doesn't help that the UK and USA media are reporting completely different versions of events compared to Australia.

I don't see her behaviour as erratic at all. She may have been late on a few shows, but this is actually one of the first tours she did when not one date was cancelled. That's pretty amazing given the tour went from September to March.

Most of what people see as erratic is her sense of humour which some people misunderstand. In the past, she was criticized for being cold, not interacting with the audience, but this tour she really opened up and was a lot warmer and more interactive.

On a lot of her prior tours, one or two dates were cancelled due to vocal issues, bronchitis, upset stomach etc.

I find it kind of unfair how people are all over her for her mental health, but other artists like Janet Jackson can cancel a whole tour and don't get the same level of abuse.

Hi! I saw your post about the new pictures of Madonna returning to London. I can't believe how hateful people were in the name of "opinion and debate".

I have strong opinions and there are certain musical artists I don't like, but I could never see posting stuff like that about any artist. What's the point? I don't see why people are so filled with hate towards someone they don't even know.

I also saw a picture of Madonna stopping to sign an autograph for a fan at Heathrow. That's so cool, but people seem determined to think she's a bitch no matter what.
That's pretty unusual for her or any celebrity in an airport. Usually, they are rushing though there and don't want to stop for fans.
Madonna definitely has become a lot more interactive with her fans than she used to be.

agreed...someone i know very well mentioned that they see many A list celebs but in his experience there are only a few who have an army of paps chasing them constantly... he mentioned Diana, Madonna as the two who encountered the most in his time ...hopefully she is beginning to experience less press intrusion but i doubt it ...as she has become paper fodder again ...i'm sure her press inches this years will be among the highest of celebrities ...

Although until this child custody came up, Madonna actually has not been in the tabloids or chased by the paps that much. Usually when she is in between big projects, she is not really in the media all that much. The media usually focuses more on people on reality tv programmes.
I hope she can get the issue with Rocco resolved and then I think the press will calm down and let her enjoy her time off between big projects.

I wonder what's next for her? In the airport pictures someone was carrying a guitar for her. I though she was doing a movie next, but maybe she is doing something musical while she's here in London?

It would be great if she did some more Tears of the Clown gigs. It's such an interesting concept it would be a shame to just do one show of it.

Guy has apparently dropped Rocco off at Madonna's house earlier today. I'll be watching her instagram account like a hawk from now on. lol

I like that look! I like her more funky avant garde looks. She goes against the norm, which is one of the reasons I relate to her. I know some fans want her to do elegant classy evening gown type of looks, but I find those really boring.

I wonder if she will go to the gala they have every year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It was controversial but I loved the punk look she did a few years ago.

Her hair seems to be longer too. I wonder if she's going to the met gala?
