Josh briefly mentioned it earlier, but this is Part Erotica! Fitting as well considering it was 20 years ago that it was released!

Convenient timing

I need that album on blast right now tbh....blasted True Blue earleir to get me motivated but damn the Winter gets me all downbeat Need some Erotica on blast and Like A Prayer on alternations....plus some Kate Bush Hounds Of Love and i have Ellie gouldings new one Halcyon on the way...

I often feel much like i discussed with gigi when so much emotion and soul is channeled within the music it can help motivate you because it channels your own emotions in there rather than just "happy/dancey" stuff

That greatest UK number 1s show was on ITV again, Like a Prayer was at #16, I remember we were all a bit cheesed off with that but it's very good considering how many #1s there has been since the 1950s

Bar one or two it was actually a good list and those who charted higher than Like a Prayer did actually deserve it

No, it's only been released in Brazil and I don't think she's done a video for it as far as I'm aware

No one deserves higher than Like A Prayer

and there was speculation from Sky News reports of a video being filmed and then later The Sun...but i think it was scrapped entirely...although storyboards may indeed leak of ideas for it....sounded very controversial and militant....maybe filmed to the remix which i posted in the "Madonna New Music" thread on the main forum...i much prefer the sonics and drive of the remix to the original Superstar.

Kylie standing by her Queen, nice loyalty!

In the immortal words of Madonna on Ellen...Nice Ass

Loving the t-shirt Madonna is wearing in the second picture too. She looks like she's having a blast in South America which is great to see

Yeah she is absolutely buzzing it is brilliant....its an energy display i feel we have so missed

And tbh anyone against Madonna is like sendng a lamb to the slaughter....expect to lose

mwhaha!

And totally...anyways on the main thread discussing where Madonna can go next with her music hense her recording new material etc.

I said ideas about her fusing genres...like we have oft discussed on here like the fusion of Old SKool Motown/R&B grooves/melancholy meets Alternative Dance meets Power/Stadium Rock sounds to give a real powerful erethral sound and also moving the wheel into another direction.

And also i mentioned ideas of her incorporating cartoon/comic book aspects into her work next maybe...we have seen so much fan art based upon these ideas this year and on SUPERSTAR she herself has utilised the winner Siss artwork based on Wonder Woman/Warhol and her Wild video....it is a definite quirky angle to base the next era i reckon and so much can be had with it.

Identities (Alter-egos) Comic spins on reality, Action/Intensity, madness, eccentricity (ala Anime quirkiness)

Madonna is geeky so it would be so cool of an angle to go next

There are strong rumours doing the rounds that she is going to be working with Stuart Price again. Someone on the popjustice forum who knew lyrics from HC songs before it was released, has out takes and unreleased photos and mentioned about revolver first has said she is teaming up with a legendary producer and Stuart Price again. It's all rumour but at least its a rumour from someone who has a past track record of being spot on. I think she will hot the studio anytime from about Apr-May and hopefully it will be finished for a late 2013 eraly 2014 release and hopefully she will promote it before touring again

I do love the idea of Madonna reuniting with Suart Price again though...i mean he was in her band in the Drowned World Era and of course she pushed him to grow and grow right on through the Confessions era and of course is established through his remix aliases and has since worked with The Killers, Brandon Flowers, Kylie, Scissor Sisters, gaga, and Take That and now i feel he may need to be pushed again and vice versa...i think they were an insane duo

It is all speculation but this is pretty exciting and am hoping they both work on the Alternative Dance aspect...would be so epic!

And there was speculation Madonna will hit the studio Spring 2013 to officially start recording album 13....all is epic cannot wait for the stuff to start....hopefully for photo teasers and stuff to tide us over

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kc8jVGBjJ0g

For Madonna to make something with Price enhancing on these sounds id have goosebumps! and tears and absolute joy!

Not bad for an artist that is too old and way past her sell by date. I'm sure the likes of the Daily Mail will ignore these facts and will continue to trash Madonna for everything though

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/ne...n-america.html

It's also funny how at the start of the year monsters decided to compare Gaga to Madonna and her sales and all of a sudden she's getting compared to her 'contemporaries' again. Madonna should be compared to legends only and not the current generation

Madonna should always be compared to her contemporaries....but thats the thing...so many of her contemporaries have either fallen by the wayside and become lesser known and/or sadly have been lost (Whitney, MJ) so the only place to compare are the most "successful" contemporaries of todays Pop lot.

But tbh i think it is actually to the benefit of gaga having Madonna mentioned in the same sentence as it really shows how ahead gaga is of the current Pop Bunch yet at the same point Madonna to how promonent she is the past year despite minimal promo (name alone only) and how many records she has set and broken already....not only that but what a phenomenal show the MDNA tour has been and with two weeks left until its the end of an era we look to the future

Next year looks set to be very ARTPOP, RIhanna Diamonds Tour, Katy Perry Album 3 focused in Pop music so Madonna can pull away and focus on new material for 2014 and take over then

Will be interesting But damn i am so proud of Madonna still raking everyone in and putting on such a sublime show and setting new records for everyone to follow.

But yes i second that, about time Madonna was spoken in legacy terms....but like papers Stateside has said...Madonna will always be Madonna...she is 54 and putting on high energy, detailed, conceptualised pieces of art around the world and wowing everyone like she did 10, 20, 25 years ago....whereas Elvis in his late 30s lost it, her contemporaries, as i say, look what happened there....but Madonna...4th decade in....still here Im so proud and cannot wait for her to change the wheel again for album 13

Bring. It.ON!

I don't actually think Gaga is ahead of her contemporaries though. There's a strong argument that Rihanna, Adele and Taylor Swift are ahead of her. It's a bit insulting to Madonna that she has to be compared to artists that have achieved nowhere near what she has

It is unfair but this is what it is....as i said 2013 is gonna be a real teller..i mean Rihanna is on her first tour since her name elevated etc. so tht will be telling as to whether she is ahead of her contemporaries...but the arguement is still the same Madonna can only be "compared" to whoever is hot right now because none of her contemporaries can slot next to her anymore....its unjust but that is where this stems from.

But i feel with album 13 truly she will change the wheel more and go for a different direction to really showcase this is MADONNA

Anyways...found this article from July....for those whom feel like a read can but its a truly ingenius article about Madonna and ageism and the fact that in reality it is not an arguement....it is a part of Madonnas story to be told forevermore...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/larry-...b_1699762.html

Interestingly i never ever associate age with Madonna...ever! To me....and i feel many others she has this timeless vibe about her, she has so much visceral energy and spirituality that i find so inspiring and commandable....especially when you see others who are/were her age and younger never achieve the amount of energy M displays its truly fantastic

And i just cannot wait to see and hear where she will take us next.

Adele isn't ahead personally. She's only done two albums. She's an amazing talent, but when she has a few more albums under her belt, maybe she could be well ahead. For me her impact only surrounds that one album which 21. To be well ahead with your contemporaries, you need to make an impact in several different. Whether it is your image, supporting particular issues etc. Like Madonna.

I can understand why Rihanna and Taylor are. Taylor is the princess of Country and has taken that genre by storm, and no one has done that since Shania and Faith Hill back in the 90's, while Rihanna is the chameleon of pop music and taking on so many different genres which is something her rivals are not doing. The likes of Beyonce, Britney etc are still churning out the same type of music. You need to amp it up. Like Madonna
